Most people go to coffee shops to at least socialize, if not to meet people, even if their main intent is to read/study etc. Think of it, anyone can just stay home and read their book, study, check email, listen to music, etc. Why do then they go through the effort to go out to a coffee shop? To be around other people. It's a social setting so don't be too shy to talk to someone, they are their to be around people. As long as you are polite most people will at least smile back or say hi, and go from there, keep trying
i've never been to a starbucks myself , well there is one up the road from me but I never go there as I don't have enough money or even drink coffee .
but I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to meet someone there , you just have to do it right and make sure your going after people who are single and open to meeting new people . like if there siting in the corner and look anti social , don't bother . but if there in the open and smiling why not go for it .
neither...i go to starbucks to get my coffee HOWEVERRR if I meet someone then I wouldn't be opposed to it...but that's not why I go.
my favorite part of this story was "eating some random snack"--because they totally have random snacks at starbucks!

I don't go to starbucks but if I did...i wouldn't mind meeting someone there BUT I know that that would never happen lol
Its a nice place to meet someone with good moral unlike going to the club. its a good idea
