Does cute really mean "ugly but interesting"?

Most people (especially guys) always call me cute & adorable, but never or rarely pretty, beautiful, gorgeous, hot, fine, stunning etc. I look really young so could that be it? It's starting to annoy me (don't take it wrong, but I accept the compliments and thank god they didn't call me ugly or ok looking), b4 I heard that guys say you're cute if they think you're ugly or not interested in dating u. How can I be seen as gorgeous or stunning? I accept the compliments and all, but still.

Here's how I define some terms that I use to describe attractive women:
Cute usually pairs behavior with attractive looks. If a guy is attracted to actress in Asian films, often times, he will qualify her as cute. If you get this a lot, its not a bad thing - on the contrary, it could be a very good thing. I think that cute girls have a better chance of attracting men for the long term. Not only do they have physical appeal, but they naturally exhibit mannerisms that men find attractive. Cute girls have less enemies too because when other people have a hard time staying jealous for a long time (its hard to hate them).

Beautiful might be used to describe Disney princess sort of women who might look good in a family picture or would be used to play the role of the "wife" in a pharmaceutical commercial. They are pleasant to look at, but also have a sort of sweetness to there appearance that somehow feels generic.

Gorgeous is reserved for women who are way beyond the normal level of very attractive - who probably have it all as far a looks go. These women tend to catch people off guard with their looks, simply by entering a room.

Stunning: this is when a woman looks good, but is also dressed in a way that absolutely enhances her beauty.

Hot is used to describe women who look good in a way that makes a guy "want" them.

Plain pretty is my favorite. This is when a woman's facial features work together to be attractive, but in a more subtle way. Sometimes its hard for me to point out the exact features that I find attractive about girls who are fit this category, but over time, I like the way they look more and more.

Cute doesn't mean ugly... Cute for me means you're attractive with an adorable personality of some sort. Hot means that they are attractive and more seductive. In my personal opinion, it is a much better compliment to be called cute than hot/beautiful.

To me cuteness is more like someone or a pet you want to hug and who gives you that feeling of awe.
It's different from being hot though the two can complement each other.

Cute can mean many things. I consider cute to be attractive. "Hot" women are good for casual dating. Cute women are good for marriage.
