Guys, does hand placement matter in pictures?

I know this is reading too deep, but I've heard some guys say that they pay attention where they put their hand. I took a picture with this guy who I've liked for a while, and he put his hand on my waist. Does that mean anything?

If it makes any difference he's a lot taller than I am so I know it's not because he's short, and since I've pretty much stalked all his ig pictures, I noticed he usually puts his hand around his other friend's shoulders. So, does it make any difference to you where you place your hand and do you think it meant anything?

I'll usually go for the shoulder if she's just a friend, waist is more reserved for girls I'm closer to. But it really depends on the guy. When you say his 'friends' on ig, are they guys or girls? If they're girls then it's a pretty good sign if he went for the waist with you.
