When a guy is rejected he sees it as that person having no respect for him
If I was rejected I would just ignore that person tbh it's nothing to cry about

It's a deflation to their ego
exactly and depending on the guy and size of said ego it can be pretty devastating.
I think guys with larger egos tend to act out more when rejected where as guys with little to no ego tend to turn their frustration and emotional instability inwards

Since I tend to notice more psychopathic behavior in women, I can actually see why being honest is difficult, they must weigh the options of lying to be nice in case of future usefulness.
