Do guys sometimes avoid girls they like?

This question may be confusing, so let me explain. I'm asking if there are some (not all) guys out there who will avoid, ignore, and/or not talk to a girl they like? I'm talking about the guys who have never talked to this girl before, but somehow developed a crush on her and they deal with the feelings in a way that affects their behavior like avoiding her or ignoring her, or not talking to her at all. Like the guy will behave in a way that will make the girl feel like she's 'hated' by him. If so, what is it about the girl or guy that makes the guy behave this way?

Shyness along with immaturity which is quite common. But sooner or later if your really into the girl your bound to do something about it no matter what. Because if you dont, then that simply means that your shyness overtook your effort to comfront her and well ask her out, talk to her, and well overall just get to talk to her in general. It is quite weird why some guys and girls do this...but well I guess were just weird creatures in life in general lol...

I know what you are saying. That has happened with me and the reason I avoided her was because I didn't want to develop any feelings for her. I did like her but at that time I didn't want a relationship with anyone but I knew if I got to know her or start dating her I would.

I tried pretty hard to fight it by avoiding her and acting like she wasn't there. I'm sure she thought I didn't like her at all.

I won't get into why I didn't want anything at that time but yea, it most definately does happen.

it's not done to offend but from my experience it's because we're looking from a distance dreaming of a time when we losers actually have a chance with a crush. I would never pathetically try to hit on someone because I feel like I'm wasting their time.

Yes, if he's too shy to talk to you or because he knows he will make a fool of himself because he's socially awkward. I speak out of experience in both cases.

Yeah its possible it depends on the situation though. I can't say for sure without knowing.
