As an adult? 5 dates. I think it was the best personally. It get so sick of guys going in for the kiss the first date. Honestly for me it feels like too much pressure.

The way we do online dating these days... It's the first time I'm meeting you... I don't really know how I feel about you yet, and I feel like you trying to kiss me at the end is pressuring me to decide I like you right away. Guys also tend to go overboard in my experience. I for sure don't want your tongue in my mouth after a first date.

The guy that waited 5 dates to make a move used his personality, his thoughtfulness and intelligence, to attract me. He made me want to kiss him. He made me feel like I was a teen again who had never been kissed and was dreaming about her crush finally kissing her. So, when he finally did it I was thrilled. That's the kind of feeling I like. Not this weird rushing to kiss to seal the deal kind of pressured thing that seems to be happening.

If you wanna show me that you had a good time and you're interested in seeing me again then pay the check, walk me to my door, hug me, say you had a great time, and then text me either when you get home or the next day to try and plan the next date. That shows me you're into me and not just trying to get in my pants.

Omg really 5 dates? A guy can't take that risk. If he hasn't kissed the girl by date 2 or 3 at the very latest the girl will think he isn't interested or is a massive pussy that is scared of making a move.

We have to make damn sure the girl knows we like her as more than friends otherwise she'll pretty easily set up dates with other guys, not wait for us to man up on another date. That's not to say a kiss should happen on the first date. It can happen, but usually date 2 is golden.

@MusicMayhem Nah. Like I said there are other ways for you to show me you're into me. Being close to me, putting your arm around me, inviting me around your friends all the time but staying close to me, etc.

This guy invited me out all the time, and always payed and basically made it like he brought me like I was his date to the event or on that outing or whatever. That shows me you're interested.

But if you wanna be serious and you're not just trying to get in my pants, but you think a kiss is how to show you're interested then it's super cute to ask if you can kiss me. My ex did that, I told him no cause he asked on the first date lol and then he said ok can I kiss you on the cheek? And I thought that was super sweet. So I said yes. We only broke up because I had to move across the country, but we still talk and he's my favorite.

Five dates, I was actually nervous, because he was the first guy that didn't go for it on the first date. So by the fifth date I wanted the kiss so badly but was also a nervous wreck about it, because I started really liking him. And the best part was he knew how to kiss, no need for the tongue.

Men just so you know a woman's lips are her most sensual body part!!! Tongue in the mouth doesn't enhance it... When I see a man come at me with his mouth all open I put the brakes on and ask him if he's Hannibal Lecter about to go Cannibalis on my face. They always look dumb founded.
