For example; Would you rather call guys like Timothee Chalamet (in the pic) gorgeous or handsome?

Wow if this is the problem in your life, count your lucky stars.
The poll results have it - this is nothing to worry about. Different people prefer different words, but you must deep down know that they are all positive.
by the way, have you heard Chalamet is going to head the new Dune? Quite the get for him. I personally questioned a little whether he is right for that part, but then I never saw the original movie or read the book and thought
Kyle MacLachlan was an odd choice for a lead in that context, so what do I know. My husband said the book describes him as a very good looking man (I forget the author's exact word choice) and had a certain aura about him. These two guys are more akin to runway models, especially Chalamet. They have finer bone structure and good versatile hair, and these things suit that modelling world very well.
Have you seen 'Call Me by Your Name'? It's with Chalamet and Armie Hammer, both good in it. About a brief affair between them, and the painfulness of love in general. The two men are very different physically, but they each have their appeal.
Definitely! I only use it to describe what I would call prettier-looking guys (Timothee Chalamet, Troye Sivan, etc.)
It’s a different way of calling someone attractive, but in a more aesthetically pleasing way. Similar to how a cute guy is attractive in an endearing or adorable way, or how a hot guy is attractive in more of a sexy way.
... that’s my take on it anyway.
I’ve been called both. The first time I remember being called beautiful was when I was in my teens. We were dating and we were cuddling after we had sex.
She looked in my eye as she rubbed my face and said “You’re so beautiful.” She said it so softly with this conviction in her voice. Like she couldn’t believe what she saw. Back then I was too inexperienced to understand how rare and meaningful it is for someone to look at anyone that way and truly believe it.
Whenever a woman tells me that I never take it for granted. They’re talking about your soul.
Yes, or they should. I’ve been called both of these terms and they’ve made me blush every time, so why not? “Cute” has always been welcomed by me too. Why are we gendering complimentary words now? 😒🤦🏻♂️
I grew up in a old school household, I just thought that this was a term that was only for women. Thanks for the answer.

I like saying beautiful to describe guys. I don't get why thats so weird🤷♀️
I also like using the words delicious, and enticing.
Of course some men are appealing in different ways. Young Marlon Brando and Hayden Christiansen cannot be described as anything other than classically handsome. Leonardo Dicaprio and Harry Styles, are two men who I would say are very pretty, pretty in feminine and masculine way. Young Pierce Brosnan and Henry Cavill, are attractive in a very sexually appealing masculine way... so let's call them sexy.
To be honest, gorgeous applies to all of the above. Though for some reason I feel throughly entertained when guys try to figure out the meanings. It's true I wouldn't call a guy I'm attracted to cute. Cute is a mouse. Cute is your friend's boyfriend. You say cute because you don't like them, but you have to say something positive. Cute is also teasing though. I will tell my boyfriend he's cute because it will rile him up 'I'm NOT cute' lol yes you are.
Yes and you chose the right picture of the poster child for beautiful men haha. He’s a perfect example of a man most would agree is “beautiful” and that many women go crazy for. I’d call him beautiful because his face is as chiseled as a greek statue! It’s a definite compliment I think.
i would bever call a guy beautufl cause to me thats more femanint however i would say gorgeous cause to me that can be mulitsexed and mean hot in general or whole package regarless of what gender. HAndsome also but gorgeous to me more is acurate wit hboth for whole package.
Hmmmm... Honestly when I describe a guy who I like/find hot I use the word gorgeous but instead of "beautiful" I always use handsome. 🤷♀️
And by the way the guy I the pic really is gorgeous
"in lol sorry
Yeah, handsome is the compliment I expected women to use but I’ve heard more beautiful and gorgeous and I was confused at first. Thanks for the answer.
It's a compliment. Beauty is loved all around the world. We're attracted to it because beauty is instintivly associated with youth and health. It's a good think to be called that, male, female or whatever people identify as.
I've never had a girl call me handsome, gorgeous, beautiful. Etc. I have been told I have a nice ass though. Lol Not sure what makes a nice ass on a guy but ok.
It’s probably a good thing lol. The one girl that’s ever complimented my ass had a crush on me.
Masculinity is in your character man. Some men have beautiful facial features that make him look like a woman. But if you have a character of a real man, it's not a big deal
Yeah, that’s how I feel. There’s nothing wrong with looking a little feminine as long as you’re still a man when it comes to your personality.
i might get laughed at for this but, in the lyrics of TSwift, "You're so gorgeous, I can't say anything to your face, cas look at your face. you're gorgeous." talking about her man
I use it naturally .. it’s more meaningful in my opinion Bc women get called Beautiful all the time just curious Being women or for wearing flowers lol. So def a compliment.👍🏻
Well it definitely depends on the context of how it was used.
I see no problem with the term itself but you need to know you're being called beautiful or gorgeous for the right reasons
Men are equally as beautiful as women. It's not an insult. Everyone has different beauty and definitions of the word.
I’ve called my man “beautiful” many times but it isn’t entirely because of looks. It’s the looks, personality and vibe.
I've been called beautiful, gorgeous, hot, sexy, handsome, good looking, fine, etc. I would take it as a compliment!
Beautiful, not so widely. Gorgeous, definitely.
And cute is a compliment, I like cute guys.
I think so. Cute can be both for looks and personality. Beautiful and gorgeous can be used too in my opinion if the guy is really handsome.
I use beautiful more than gorgeous when it comes to men, but you can def use both!
He is fucking gorgeous! And yes I call men beautiful all the time.
Yea if theyre just that hot i’ll be like omg heeees BEeeaaautiful or he has gorgeous lips/eyes
I've used both words to describe guys. Beautiful is a step above gorgeous.
I have said many times to my Fiance and he says it to ME. xx
Most definitely!!! I've seen me so much more beautiful than women... Like you lucky thing 😩
I think so. At least it's better than no compliments at all or being called average.
No, we have penises, we smell, we have facial hair, body hair too, moral of the story is no men are not beautiful. That is why women tend to focus on things like behavior/charachter, wealth, or social status in regards to selecting men.
I heard it used to describe a test for Covid-19, so I would think it's a flexible term. LOL
I wouldn't call him either. He has that sort of sexy teenage fuckboy look (even though he's like 24). His costar, Armie Hammer... not THAT is a gorgeous man.
Of course. I use the world "gorgeous" to describe men all the time.
No, they are the words used to describe the beauty of a woman.
Why would be an insult? How?
Sorry. A lot of people my age are really sarcastic when it comes to conversations so I thought they might’ve been joking.
what would you prefer to be called?
after some thinking, i realized i liked being called gorgeous the most. sounds like something you’d call a supermodel.
Usually I use these words to describe my fictional crushes. I don't see it as an insult. 🙂
I would take it as a compliment. If a girl tells u that u r gorgeous then u r!
I don't find him attractive or unattractive... he's interesting though
Timothee Chalamet Is ’feminine’.
Of course, and they are being used for men.
Centuries ago they were use to describe men.
As long as it's girl saying it...
Gorgeous, yes. Cute, yes. Beautiful, no.
Of course! Why not?
Most definitely
Of course
That jaw line 🔥
It can be but shouldn't.
Sure, why not?
Complement.
Why not?
Seems a bit off
