There is no one universal answer to this question and the answer might be a combination of these choices. It depends on the man. It depends on if the man is single or not. It depends if the woman is just a sexual attraction for random sex or if she is someone you feel is special and you want to have a relationship with her. If you are married you should not be doing this at all - so suppress it. If single, there is nothing stopping you.
I will answer one flavor of this. If I am single and I see a woman I am very attracted to at a party, I know a bit about her and I would love to get to know her and start a relationship with her…I might start by looking at her and catching her eye and smiling. Not stare at her. Maybe a quick glance and a smile. See if she smiles back. If she smiles back, I would eventually (maybe not right away) make my way over to her and say hi, introduce myself, and start some small talk. All the while looking in her eyes (again not staring…just engaged eye contact). Smile, crack a joke, laugh with her. If I am getting signals that she likes me and is having fun, I would continue to talk, sort of hang out with her a bit, and see where it goes. After a time If I feel enough is enough and I don’t want to push, I might say “I need to go but before I do…would you like to get together some time for lunch or something? I really enjoyed talking to you”. And take it from there, give her my number (not ask her for hers) and tell her to reach out to me any time. Now she may offer me her number too, etc but I don’t want to assume.
If we are talking and it just goes great and it’s like she wants to continue and we are really really hitting it off, I would stay and enjoy and maybe we are together for the entire party. You have to sort of read what is happening and don’t over play your hand. Be respectful and funny and be a gentleman and don’t he pushy. Follow her lead.
Now let’s reverse the tape and start over to where I glance at her the first time and smile - and she does not smile back, maybe looks away. First sign there that she might not be interested. I may still make my way over and try to chat. But again you have to read what is happening. If she is clearly not engaging in the chat and is not interested, you then politely move on. And just realize that this one is not going to happen. Again be respectful of what signal she is sending you and move on. Don’t get angry, don’t get all desperate. Take it like a man and move on. She is not trying to humiliate you. She just isn’t interested. Don’t take it all personally.
Notice that nothing of what I am doing here is being manipulative or pushy. Just being authentic, taking it slow and respectfully, and being emotionally intelligent enough to read the signals and act accordingly.
I would suggest that you be thoughtful and authentic and be a gentleman every time when trying to meet someone when you are interested. Don’t be afraid to approach. But he smart about it. And back off if it’s not happening. No gimmicks, stupid one liners, lies or other BS. That’s my advice.
I can't really choose any of those. What I am not is common , what is common is saying 1000 things she's heard 1000x already from 1000 mfrs. I aim to drop a bomb. Preferably I'd rather not use words as everyone has a mouthful. Words are like $$, without solid asset to back it with value... it has no value. My first choice when possible is to demonstrate facts. All forms of energy can be harnessed & redirected to fuel productive purpose. Attraction is not only a powerful energy, it is natural law that applies to all energy & life that continues the lifeforce forward as it gravitates + & - toward one & other to achieve the target result... the explosive burst of new energy born as they make contact. Attractive energy creates the vibe & as it fuels the approach of my hands making first contact... boom... I've seen it buckle knees & one girl to even nearly faint when I first touched her. For men and I am referring to MEN, those of us who have graduated long ago, paid off mortgages, purchased homes and cars and paid taxes for over a decade, etc. that’s the group I’m referring to. Those of us that fit that demographic & after a certain age, especially once they’ve been through a marriage and divorce, will be much more direct. You realize that you’re not in college anymore. You are very unlikely to have a large group of friends to introduce you to single people. You’re not gonna have the opportunity to run into large quantities of single women you might be attracted to. SO- When you see one and you have the opportunity to speak of one, you better damn well do it fast! And you better make it clear to her that you are interested but not desperate. Yes, it’s a fine line however it’s not as bad as you might think.
Just ask them out. I don't explicitly say "I'm attracted to you," or shower them with compliments. I prefer show over tell. I also think it's a polite way because if she doesn't like me back, that's a lot less pressure to just casually say, "Hey, I know this place. Let's go there," instead of confessing that I like her and potentially making it all awkward for her if she doesn't like me back that way.
My strategy is to make it as easy for her to turn me down as it is for her to accept me. Asking a girl out on a date is a casual maneuver for me and far, far from a love confession or serious proposal. I think that makes it easier for her to say "yes" and entertain my offer if she has even the slightest bit of curiosity that way towards me, and easy for her to say "no" and even remain very friendly if she's not into me like that.
I filter out women who lack situational awareness and don't make eyes first. Then, I approach and flirt. Next, I'll ask them about doing a small activity together right then. If they can't, then I'll schedule a where and when right then. Often, I won't even exchange contact deets.
Anything indirect or passive from a dude seems weak, and sends the wrong message.
My biggest problem is attached women who act single, and assume I want them just because they think I'm hotter or more fun than whoever they're with. I don't work that way. I don't hookup. Once a cheater, are always a cheater. I'll do open relationships but never anything with someone untrustworthy.
I usually tell her how I feel, while providing her and myself with a way out - in case it proves to be a bad idea. Actually asking her out requires a considerably higher confidence boost.
And when I get attached, I become very loyal, and usually forgiving. But if she needlessly gets hostile and rude out of nowhere, or even outright threatening, or compares me to some depraved criminal without a justification, my loyalty doesn't last too long after that.
To this day, I wonder if the gal from 2005, or the one from 2007, even remember me, or feel even the slightest twinge of remorse for how they treated me. Part of me feels that if they ever came back, it would be for round two, to finish me off.

Well it really depends on how well I know them where we're at what we're doing but I make it a point to let them know right out to GetGo I mean I been talking with a girl and I'll do something stupid like let me tell you a secret it is I'm leaning in to whisper in their ear a very softly kiss them on the lips and then I'll back up my eyes will be closed and I'll say I'm sorry my eyes were closed I didn't see where I was going hello let me try it again and then I would do the same thing again and I said okay that's your fault this time because your eyes are open just doing those stupid things like that
I was always pretty straight forward when it came to being interested in girls of course this was before I got married. So I’m talking almost thirty years ago but I can’t see me doing anything different now a days. I was pretty successful I didn’t try any lame pickup lines or anything I’d just come straight at them ask their name introduce myself and ask if they wanted to hangout sometime or whatever and hit them up for their number. I keep it to myself fearful of escalating and getting rejected. Even if I did It would've hurt way less than just allowing myself to lose her. She gave me so many chances to talk to her, she asked for MY number and laughed at every joke I made. she would sit next to me and scoot near me. I hide it so I don't look like a desperate creep. Face it, a good looking girl is used to being looked at and hit on. Many get tired of it and I don't wanna be another thirsty guy on that list.
Ignore the feeling and keep your distance is my go to. I've been in love with this guy for 10 years now call me a coward for not making a move but I know that he's not attracted to me & never will be and nothing will ever happen between us so i just ignore the feeling and act normal.
I've been B and E for most of my life especially in middle and highschool. I tried to break out of my shell and awkwardly flirt with guys in college but they either ended up being taken or my awkward flirting didn't work and they weren't interested in the slightest. I'm still stuck to this day in a constant loop of "why bother, it's not going to work". I wish I knew how to be more approachable and how to approach better.
I always think communication is the best policy. But if you're trying to get someones attention. You could make eye contact and give a wink.😉

If you’re around them a lot, do the anonymous letter. That’s always a good one. It has more meaning because it’s written. I know with some things it’s better to get right to the point, but a crush letter is great. It’s unique.
I find now... people are more shy... they hide behind text messages or fb chatting.. Me personally I told her I found her attractive... and it worked out

I usually try to do nice things for them. Just a slow "trust the process". Although the speed of the process is different for anyone. I also try to engage in more conversations with them. That shows you're interested in them personally.
