Girls, How to properly compliment a girl I like?

I know this girl which I have a crush on...

She's the complete opposite of me. She's loud, energetic, confident, positive, etc. I've been wanting to compliment her for some time in order to drop a hint that I'm interested, but I don't know how to do it without it either sounding too sexual and creepy, or too platonical and friendly. The best I've come up with is complimenting her on her upbeat and positive personality, but I'm worried that she won't get the hint and that it sounds too friendly.

I've also thought about telling her she has beautiful eyes, but I've heard that could come across as creepy, and frankly, I don't think I have the balls to say that to her.

Any recommendations for what to do? I'm worried I'm getting into the friendzone, and would very much like to avoid it...

You could be original. Use your own words but boldly. Ask her “how can I compliment someone as energetic and beautiful as you and not come off sounding creepy? Cause frankly I don’t know if I can do it the first time myself, without your help.” Then give a warm smile. Knocking the wind out of sails like that is how you can rein in the wild ones.

If she's confident and kind she won’t leave you hanging.

I don't think there's a right answer to this question. Maybe it depends on the moment in which you compliment her. 🤔
