I’m gonna regret it if I don’t ask out this guy but if I do I might make it awkward in our group for the rest of the year. Should I do it?

I like this guy in my friend group I don’t know him very well because he’s a mutual friend of a guy we know but where in the same proximity enough for it to be incredibly awkward and weird if I ask him out and he says no.

On the other hand from what I can tell he’s my ideal guy and he’s very funny and nice and cute. I really wanna get to know him more.

He’s kinda quiet so I can’t really expect him to approach me first.

Well this is easy all you gotta do is talk to him Morehead, in the friends group. Just start off with the small talk so you guys get a bit more comfortable then become better friends and by then you'll be able to tell if he's into you. This way worst case scenario you know he's not into, but you make a new friend and it's not so awkward. Best case is obviously him being into you

It takes away the risk part on if he's not then it'll be more awkward.
