According to my research, while height preferences can vary among individuals and cultures, 5'6" is often considered slightly below the average height for adult men in many Western countries. However, it's important to emphasize that height should not be the sole determinant of a person's worth or attractiveness. What think about this subject? Is 5'6 short for a guy?
In many Western societies, a height of 5'6" (or 167 cm) is considered slightly below the average height for adult men. The average height for adult men varies by country but often falls in the range of 5'7" to 5'11" (170 cm to 180 cm). Keep in mind that these averages can differ significantly based on geographic region, ethnicity, and other factors.
While 5'6" may be slightly below average, it's essential to emphasize that height alone does not determine a person's worth or capabilities. Height is just one physical attribute among many, and it should not be used as the sole measure of a man's value or attractiveness.
Individuals come in all shapes and sizes, and there is no universal standard for what constitutes an ideal height. What matters most is a person's character, qualities, and abilities. People of shorter stature can excel in various fields, lead fulfilling lives, and maintain healthy relationships just like anyone else. While 5'6" might be slightly below the average height for men in some regions, it should not be seen as a limitation or a reflection of a person's worth. Height is just one aspect of a person's physical characteristics and does not define their overall value or potential.

5'6 is way too short!! I am 5'7" so he would be shorter than me!
The worldwide average height of a guy is 5'7. A man that is 5'6 is more common in the world than a tall guy. Short men in general in the world are more common than tall men even men 5'9 to 5'11. India and China comprise of 2.5ish billion people. Men average there 5'4 to 5'8. You can also count the entire continent of South America which is the same.
Also some other countries that are not in Asia and South America too. Despite what women think of tall men, realistically till the end of time there will probably be more short men married or in relationships as a whole group compared to tall men. Don't listen to the BS
The average male height in the US is 5'9", with about 80% of men being in the range of 5'6-6' tall. Only 12-13% of men in the US are over 6' tall, making that fairly rare. And as is typical with large distributions, the further out you go on the distribution curve, the percentages get exponentially smaller. Only about 0.0014% of men are 7' or taller - the Shaqs of the world are incredibly rare. It's the same going shorter - it's incredibly rare for men to be shorter than 5'2" tall.

In the US, an average adult male is 5'9" to 5'9½".
My understanding about the subject, has been that the AVERAGE male height in the U. S. is 5'10", but that may have changed in the last decade, but going from that 5'6" is probably below the average height, whatever that is at this point in time. Most of my male acquaintances are taller than I, and I am 5'8" with shoes on.
i believe 5'7 was the average in america. so yes 5'6 is slightly below average
i don't think 5'6 is short. but i also don't really care about height

Typically 5'9"-5'10" is average for men. 5'4"-5'6" is average for women.I think it's probably close to average, but that doesn't necessarily mean women have to settle for that height.
Yea, 5'9" is the average height for adult men in US, men are 5 inches taller than women.
