It largely depends on the crush/girlfriend ddifference. I would not use a resolution to get closer to my "crush" (not only will I inevitably fail, but it can lead to further problems as well), but using it to get closer to my girlfriend (if I had one to begin with) sounds like a decent idea.

Unpopular opinion: I don't believe in New Year Resolutions. They usually don't work. If you wanted to change something in their life, you would do it. If you wait until the new year, it’s going to fail because that was your only drive.
Look at how packed the gym is up to three weeks past New Year’s Eve. Then it just stops. You’re never ready until you do something but you have to have a drive outside of “New year, new me”.

I don't know anyone at any gym, and I believe most girls don't like being approached at gyms anyways, so no I would not use it to flirt get closer to a crush.
The only reason I'd use a gym is to get in shape, plain and simple. -
I've never done that , I've had people try and do it particularly with the golf , honestly I dont think it ever works , starting for the wrong reason , it doesn't last.
