I've been sexting for months with this friend that I've known for years now. We never talked about having something serious together. He compliments me a lot, protects me, makes me laugh.. I was wondering, could it be a sign of him wanting more than just sexting, when he sends hearts during these kind of text messages and keeps saying he loves my company and to see me? Or could it be only a thing guys likes to tell girls while sexting, to make them feel good?

Maybe it means nothing but I noticed that he was smiling when I was giggling or laughing during our talks with friends. And with all the noise around, sometimes he couldn't hear what I was saying so he was politely asking me what I said, with a sweet voice!
