Okay, I don't know how some people on here are acting like I said put on some sort of show. @HawkPerception, I think more women DO approach guys nowadays, but depending on how it's done it leads to low emotional and intellectual investment on the guy's part and high emotional and intellectual (and often physical) investment on the girl's part. It's way different if a guy approaches a girl... a little sweeter and easier to know the roles and expectations in my opinion.

@DishLady It depends on the guy. I can't speak for every guy, but I myself have been approached once in my life and ended up in a relationship with that girl (only for 2 weeks though). I was extremely invested both intellectually and emotionally. I was with her every day for those 2 weeks and talked to her whenever I had a chance.

The story was, I was working as a busboy at a restaurant, and when I came to take the dishes away at her table, she asked if she could get my number and I said absolutely. Then when she was leaving, she asked if she could give me a hug, to which I happily obliged. I was a bit embarrassed because it was in front of all my coworkers, but I was genuinely happy about it.

Those 2 weeks were some of the best weeks in my life honestly. But a few experiences with her eventually told me she wasn't the one for me and I decided to end things. I hope she's happy with a partner that she deserves.
