How can a guy be quiet and confident at the same time, and how can I figure him out?

So from my experience I tough that the words quiet and confident didn't go together. If a guy is confident he is usually loud and talkative, and if he is quiet he is probably shy and not so secure.

But yesterday I met a guy who was really hot and confident, but for my surprise he was quiet and rarely talk, but I don't know they way he carried himself and the way he observes people I can tell he is really confident.

But I don't know how to deal with this new kind of guy? What should I do, and how can I get his attention?

I think you're over-weighting your judgment of confidence though. All men have something they're insecure about, whether they want to admit it or not. Men have different strategies for hiding it.

One strategy is to talk a lot. Another is to let the woman do the talking for you. Both can be pulled off in such a way as to convince the other person that you are confident. It helps if the person themselves believes that they are being confident, although if you are a good enough actor, you can fake the confidence. And as people say, fake it until you make it.

Now here's the kicker. He might be a naturally quiet person. Or he might not. When a person acts confident, it's actually harder to tell if they're hiding their true selves or not, than if they were being shy.

Im like that. I'm introverted and sometimes small talk is really boring and I don't care/ bother to talk, although I am open to it if someone initiates a conversation. I'm usually quieter if I'm tired or something is bothering me in the back of my mind.

Initiate the conversation with the guy..ask about something he might open up about to get him talking.

Just talk to him. If he's quiet he's most likely an introvert. Focus on deep topics, keep small talk to a minimum. If that doesn't work, flirt with him, don't forget to ask him questions so you can get to know him.

just because a guy is shy doesn't mean he's insecure ... confidence in a guy isn't everything... what you can do is you can try to talk to him ... just don't walk away from him just because he's shy - that's the meanest thing a girl can do to a guy
