Is it a big deal to guys to hold hands?

Anonymous
I always grew up around women and girl-friends and I always have a habit of holding hands when I walk. It's just habit! I feel most comfortable linking arms, or inter-lacing fingers, or just clasping palms.

However, I've noticed that now I'm all grown up, when I meet a new man, and I get familiar (not in the sexual sense, but I feel conversationally comfortable and relaxed around his company...), often, if we are walking somewhere, especially if I'm wearing high heels, I have a HUGE temptation to hold the guy's hand (mostly for support ;-P ha!)

However, that has ALWAYS got me into trouble! Shortly after holding a guy's hand, he will lean in for the kiss! :o !

Also, recently, I met a guy who took two whole DAYS to work up the courage to hold my hand. (I only know because he told me so.) But in my mind, when he told me that, I thought, "Holding hands? psh what's the big deal...? lol!"

So why is it that for guys, holding hands is such a ...spaz-out? :p

Do guys mentally see the act of "holding hands" as something significant, sort of? Kind of a barrier broken? What's the deal now I suppose I can't just hold a guy's hand as a friend? :p
