he rejected me now he is trying to be nice and talk to me? wtf??

A good couple of weeks back,I posted a question about me going out on a date with a guy who is 24 (I just turned 29).At the END of the date,he asked me how old I was and I told him,and he became the rudest MOFO imaginable! He pretty much stopped talking to me,stopped being nice,and made it seem like he was ANNOYED that I was even around him.This behavior came as a shock because,I don't LOOK my age and he liked my personality,but started treating me rudely because of...a NUMBER.

Anyway,I saw him at work tonight and my coworkers are quite fond of me,so everyone was excited to see me and they ran over to hug me "hello".And...so did the guy who rejected me,which is weird because he has made it a point to NOT TALK to me since the date.Throughout the night,I made it a point to not really look at him,or speak to him much because I have lost ALL RESPECT for him because he disrespected me and hurt my feelings.

There were also times I would see him LOOKING at me,or he would suddenly come around if he saw me talking to other guys.

SO,why do you figure he is even trying to engage with me?Why would he run up and try and hug me? And am I being immature for NOT acknowledging him? I'm just not sure how to behave around people who hurt me. I automatically start ignoring them just to protect MYSELF from anything else.

He realized what a douche bag he was and is trying to make amends. Imo this is an indicator that he can become a douche bag just like that, so not worth your time in the long term future...there are plenty of guys out there that'd be interested in you, don't get hung up over this one mofo lol.

Thanks for responding.Yeah,I was definitely taken aback by him hugging me along with everyone else.I was even more surprised how in the moment,I returned the hug because I didn't want to make things awkward,and I put him so far back in my memory,that I had almost forgotten what he did.BUT then...I remembered.And I just knew that I couldn't speak to him or really look at him.On the date this dude literally rushed to finish his drink (after I told him how old I was),we settled the bill,left the

restaurant.only for us to be walking a very short way and he says,"Are you going to get a cab,this is my thinking time."Basically he meant for me to SCRAM.I was apalled at how rude he was for NO reason what so ever.Especially someone who did all he could to get my attention anyway.I understand some people have age preferences,but there is NO reason to be rude to a person who was respectful all along.I know I'm a nice person,so I will find someone else...but...its just disappointing.

i think he is just trying to be nice to you so that he won't be singled out at your work place since your co workers are really fond of u, just ignore him and give him a test ofhis own medicine
