She asked for a rain check, now what?

She said "hope to see you again soon" so I attempted to make plans to see her again in the days after Christmas. It was about mid morning on a Saturday when I asked and I said I realized it was short notice and probably too late (since I know most girls like advanced notice). She said it wasn't too late but she had family coming over but wasn't sure what time and she'd get back to me. Later she replied (via text) that due to family coming over she wouldn't be able to make it. She asked for a rain check. Now...here is the question. Do I bring it up again, or should she since she asked for the rain check? If I should bring it up again, how long should I wait, and/or how is a way to bring it up without seeming too anxious? I would have preferred her say "I'll take a rain check, but I'm free...(insert other date here)" but she didn't. Should I even be thinking this much about it? Was this a blow off since she didn't specify another time? Lots of questions here, I know, give me advice. Thanks.

Ok, so I asked again and she replied, "Thanks, my name, but I already have plans". Nothing more. Write her off?

are you saying you think most guys don't care if its last minute? do you personally like to be asked to do things last minute?

I don't know a lot of people women or men, who like to be asked out with no warning at all. so I was just curious.

I meant probably too late since I sort of guessed she'd already had plans made to do something else. Oh...and honestly, I don't most people (male or female) really care about last minute invitations if they are attracted to the person asking.

i care, especially if I'm attracted to the person., I find asking or being asked to do something last minute to be disconcerting. its already hard to focus when I like someone. being caught off guard makesitworse.

Just say "hey, now things have settled down after the holidays, I'd like to see you again/take you out for dinner, etc. if you're still up for it." Easy. Don't over think it.

I think you are over thinking it. If you want to be on the safe side just make up plans for you own, so that when she brings it up you are busy and can offer her another day. If she does not bring it up just stay in contact wait a week or so and arrange a date in a weeks time.
