Thanksgiving Down South: Southern Inspired Thanksgiving Recipes

Howdy y`all! It's officially the holiday season in the southern United States! Disney World is putting up their Christmas lights, Graceland and the Tennessee Mountains are putting up their decorations as well, and The Biltmore House in North Carolina is also decorated for Christmas.

But, before all the Christmas trees, Santa Clauses, presents, parades, cookies, and carols, we have to celebrate the harvest first with Thanksgiving! Too often this holiday is overshadowed by the holiday season even though Thanksgiving is considered part of it. Just like Christmas, this holiday is celebrated with a huge feast. And just like Christmas, The South knows how to do it! Here are some Southern inspired Thanksgiving Dishes to enjoy!

Dont these look good? I certainly am tempted to make a couple of these myself! I really want to try the mini pies and the Bacon Appetizers. The South is a very flavorful place. These recipes prove it in every way. Happy Thanksgiving!

You can have other meats, although Turkey or Ham are the staple meats

I am from the deep south... actually we dont make a few of those. But they all look good! We make green bean casserole, baked beans, dumplings, sweet potato pie. seven layer salad.

Exactly. I wanted something pumpkin flavored but since we have quite a lot of people coming over, multiple people have been assigned to desserts. I'm sure someone will be pumpkin flavored something. Also my sister and her boyfriend are organizing this and they're happy with my choices.
