Do you like white eggs or brown eggs?

It makes no difference, they have the same nutritional value, irrespective of the shell colour.
If you really want coloured eggs there are 18 chicken breeds that lay coloured eggs (Blue, Green, Olive, Chocolate) here’s a few.
Ameraucana Chicken
An Ameraucana is a hybrid breed, a cross between an Araucana and various other breeds, with the intention of producing unique feather patterns and a healthier animal. The breed is far more common than the Araucana and has a distinctive tuft of tail feathers, a pea comb, and even beards! These chickens lay blue eggs (and occasionally green), like the Araucana, and typically lay around 200 eggs per year.
Araucana Chicken
The tail-less Araucana chicken, also known as the “rumpless,” was named after the Araucana region in Chile, where the breed is thought to have been developed. They lay up to 200 striking, bright-blue eggs per year. Most chicken breeds that lay blue eggs likely have Araucana in their lineage. They are confidant birds that are fairly mild in temperament and are popular birds for small farms.
Arkansas Blue Chicken
The Arkansas Blue is an experimental breed developed at the University of Arkansas. The breed is a cross between a White Leghorn and Araucana and lays blue eggs but is not yet available to the public for purchase. They have a pea comb and yellow legs but have no tufts, muffs, or beards.
Asil Chickens
The Asil was developed in Pakistan and India primarily for cockfighting. The breed arrived in the United States in the mid-1800s and became popular due to their beautiful appearance. The breed is fairly aggressive, however, making them difficult to raise. They lay pink to cream-colored eggs, but don’t expect to see many — they only lay around 40-50 eggs per year.
Barnevelder Chicken
Named after the Barneveld area of Holland where the breed was developed, the Barnevelder chicken is a popular breed prized for their rich, chocolate-brown-coloured eggs. The breed was developed around 200 years ago by crossing native Dutch breeds with Cochins and Brahmas and are uniquely beautiful birds with black-and-white laced feathering.
Barred Rock Chickens
A common backyard chicken breed, the Barred Rock has long been used as a popular meat fowl and laying bird. They are prolific layers, laying around 300 eggs a year, or about four eggs per week, and produce light-pink-coloured eggs. They are beautiful, calm, and docile birds that have been a popular backyard fowl for well over 100 years.
Most of our eggs over here are brown, the colour of the egg is down to the colour of the hen's genetics. We also have blue eggs here which are from a particular breed and the have a rich orange yoke. The taste of the egg is down to the hen not the colour of the egg.
Most of your eggs are white because they are cleaned and the cuticle is removed, ours aren't and as a result we don't need to keep them refrigerated because the protective cuticle stays intact.
Two facts I have seen is if you wash or hard boil brown eggs, under neath the brown coating the shells are white. You can actually wipe that brown coating off. Also you are right, if you don't wash that coating off an egg can be good for a month or more. I have heard that eggs you get in a store may have been laid up to a month before.
The brown eggs are better. I have a friend who lives on a farm w/chickens. Every time I visit, he gives me like 3 dozen eggs. They are brown and you would be able to tell the difference. They smell like eggs, but it's an extreme smell. U know the fake eggs that McDonald's uses? Those are fake eggs b/c they don't have time to scramble all that every morning. Well, u know it smells significantly like eggs. But when u get your processed white eggs from the store, it has no smell.
I have never wanted to try brown eggs. They just don't look very appealing to me. I have only had white eggs.
If you buy the JUMBO size eggs, chances are you will get two yolks from one egg; I call them twins 🙂
Do you know that under the brown coating of a brown egg is a white egg? Trying rubbing them the next time you hard boil them and they will turn white. I never knew that until I bought some brown eggs at the market and they turned out to be white under the brown coating. I thought we were being scammed and that the brown was just some kind of food dye at first.

Can I tell the difference taste-wise? No. I have done blind taste tests (and A, B, X), and I cannot distinguish them.
But those white eggs from the grocery with the pale yellow yolks that are starting to get runny (because they are a couple weeks old) and their thin, fragile shells (because they have been head blasted, or something) that break when you grip them to crack the shell…I do not like those! Grocery store eggs are kinda gross.
That is because store eggs may have been laid weeks before they are even shipped to the markets.
Either one. Lately, whichever ones I can actually afford to buy are the ones I get!
As luck would have it, this morning I made an omelette from two brown-shelled eggs and one had a double yolk! I have no idea what that means- I didn't notice any difference in my breakfast.
Guess the yolk was on you.
The eggs are the same on the inside, and only the specific breed of chicken determines the egg shell color. Dark eggs are laid by Rhode Island Reds, Bramas, and Plymouth Rock hens, among others. White shelled eggs are typically layer by White Leghorns, and other white-feathered hens.
I always choose the brown ones (or by size if I'm baking), but they taste exactly the same either way.
I lived in Switzerland for a while, and over there, the supermarkets sell eggs (real ones - not chocolate) dyed all different colours:

I’m not racist lol. Idc what color of egg shell they are, they all taste the same to me. And they’re extremely healthy and filling and you can do whatever with them: scrambled, omelette, sunny side up, etc!
I've had both, cooked, I've never been able to tell a difference. But cracked the yolks on the brown eggs have a richer darker color, if that makes sense. It's really easy. To get brown eggs here, most of my state is farm land.
I like fried eggs or scrambled eggs even poached eggs can I get some hash browns too please maybe a chocolate milk English muffin with some butter and honey on it and maybe some Maple sausage to go please
Where is my tip?
I can't tell the difference in taste... lol
so it is the same to me
and as I heard the only difference is that chickens with white cheeks will lay white eggs, while chickens with red cheeks will lay brown eggs... lmfao
I eat the golden orange yokes from free range chicken eggs. I can tell the difference once I crack one. That putrid weak yellow color lets me know its not a healthy chicken egg.
They say free range, but I don't think many chickens can find enough to eat being free to run around. They all need enough nutrition to lay good eggs. And if they are really "free range" they can lay their eggs anywhere so then how do you find them?
Correction I should have said Pasture raised. There is a difference. Pasture raised has a requirement of I think 100 square feet per chicken. They spend most of their time outdoors foraging for bugs, eating grass and kicken it with each other. There is a NONGMO supplement they are giving as well. Vita farm eggs give a scannable card inside the eggs linking to a video of how the chickens are treated. I will have to wait till I buy another carton to get that link. But you can also go to Vita They are top ranking in the industry. And no I don't work for or have an affiliation with them.
I did find this video that breaks down why you want pasture raised quite well.

I buy 'greenlegs' eggs and they are snow white.
Shouldn't chicken who have green colored legs have green eggs?
Shouldn't they be plants if they have green legs?
I like the yellow part and hate the egg white part. I go with brown eggs because it tastes really smooth and the ratio of yellow to white seems to be better.
We have way over a 100 chickens and we eat every color of eggs
Yes, there are chickens that lay blue, green, yellow eggs. They are called Easter Layers
I'm not kidding, look it up for yourself
I have a friend who raises chickens and she told me there is no taste difference between brown and white eggs.
I'm thinking it depends on what you feed them.
I don’t discriminate in terms of people and damn well won’t start my day off discrimination against eggs. I have no preference
Brown or White eggs I don't care as long as they're jumbo on my bacon egg and cheese bagel for breakfast at local diner they make the best sandwiches Lol
I've tried both and tbh I cannot really tell the difference in taste but I usually buy brown eggs. Once someone told me white eggs are toxic not sure if it's true or not but I always buy brown eggs.
Not prejudice on the color of my eggs!
I have eaten duck, goose and other species of eggs in my life. Even made angel food cakes out of goose egg! Was more like a sponge cake.
Try and Ostrich egg next time and feed all the kids.
Hey! That was my line.
Is there actually a difference? Would love to know!
There's no difference to me. They all taste the same.
Are there differences in nutritional content between white and brown eggs?
Brown eggs are local eggs and and local eggs are fresh.
You can buy brown eggs in the store, and eggs in the store are not always fresh and could be weeks old before they are received by the store.
Also, local eggs don't look all clean like in the store. They can have chicken shit on the shells as the eggs come out their ring piece..
Usually take the white... never seen any browns and I don't think there would be a difference
There's no difference inside the egg. The egg color depends on the type of hen doing the laying.
White eggs.
There is no significant difference in nutrients between brown and white eggs.
An interesting Thailand-fact: the local chicken breed only makes brown eggs.
White eggs are from ducks.
I like them all <3
differences are in the shells.
show me someone that says they can tell the difference out of the shell (w/o scientific analysis) and i'll show you a liar.
I eat both types but the brown eggs have a better flavor and less cholesterol.
No preference. I usually have white, but I will say that brown eggs have a more organic feel to it which is nice.
Do you think speckled eggs are like birth marks, or is that a freckled egg. I like my eggs like I like my ladies completely scrambled.
There’s no difference in taste or healthiness. It just has to do with the color of the chickens feathers from which it came.
It also depends on what they eat, which can change the taste.
i can't tell tell difference , only larger or small
Eggs are eggs to me. They all have yellow yokes and get seasoned and cooked the same
I won't be racist with my eggs... lol I will eat either of them ;)
I honestly can't tell a difference but i think i like brown eggs more
I am not prejudiced against Egg Color, we don't need another Civil-War
they're all the same to me i didn't know anyone cared
Brown eggs, the yoke is more orange but I can’t really taste the difference
brown. They've said there's no difference, but I doubt it.
Both no discrimination on my side😂🙏🏽
There is no difference.
One is just dyed and laid by black chickens.
Brown eggs are usually laid by red hens such as the Rhode Island Red hen.
I pick brown, they look tastier to me. Always.
They all belong in the trash tbh
Allergic to eggs I take it.
No I have gnarly ass texture issues they make me gag 😮💨😮💨 eggs Benedict slaps on occasion though
You're supposed to take off the shells first.
You mean you don’t eat them with the shell? 😭😭
Yep, them and coconuts too.
I prefer bone in😞😞
they taste the same to me
I actually CANNOT tell the difference lol!
never tasted a difference. so i don't care.
Jimmy cracked eggs so I don't care?
Who's jimmy?
Form a song by Burl Ives called Blue Tail Fly, only in the song it was Jimmy crack corn and I don't care, my masters gone away..
oh lol xD sorry i didn't get that reference.
Just a play on words.
Anything that hasn't expired.
Everything goes when I'm hungry
I don't believe there is a difference, is there?
white eggs are the ones I usually eat…
brown they taste better
Why you gotta be racist?
It's one and the same.
White eggs. Brown has more blood spots.
I like my white cracker eggs
large brown two of please
I only eat white eggs
I never paid attention lol
I don’t think I have ever eaten white eggs
I can't tell the difference?
