I see no issue with it unless you make some weird scene or something.
I never go to restaurants alone and I am eating twice a week at restaurants. Its my hobby picking and choosing restaurants is fun and arranging it with friends and family. But I would feel sad and would never do it alone such as I don't go movies alone. I wouldn't walk in nature alone (mountaineering). Does that make me weird?
Just makes you sound really dependent which can be a turn off.

I got two kids so the likelihood of being alone wouldn't be very likely
sometimes i eat lunch alone , i usually get tacos when i'm doing lunch alone. not having some one to talk to is not so fun

Feels & looks awkward because we visualize & correlate facy dinners with dates. But honestly, if you feel like treating yourself to a nice dinner, do so.
