My question is if you were given this egg would it be safe in your possession?

I once kept a kit kat bar for fifteen years. Every day after school I used to stop at this little store with some friends and buy a couple candy bars.
I put it on my entertainment center and forgot about it for I don't know how long. Then after 2 months, I got so used to it being there, I couldn't eat it. I know, stupid.
After I graduated, I still had it, and it somehow ended up in one of my boxes when I moved. When I found it, I remembered how it sat on my entertainment center all that time, and for some reason, I didn't want to throw it away. Some more years passed and one day, I moved in to help an aunt that had COPD.
She was a narcissist and had to have everything her way and controlling what possessions I had and ended up throwing it away. I kept my mouth shut because you can't win with those people, but I felt like I lost something valuable.
I know it sounds stupid. I'm probably the most out there person in the world.
For those who didn't read the article.. basically it was an artifact from a time of war. To her it wasn't just an egg.. it had sentimental value. There is no telling what she endured in those times. Imagine not knowing what would be rationed or where your next meal would be. Difficult times. uncertain times. Although some would consider it simple and silly.. the underlying tone is that war is scary and if we are not careful history will repeat itself. A reminder if you will of a time of discourse.
I would find a museum to take it on loan. Stories are powerful. You never know who might be humbled by this one.
I'd toss it straight in the bin. I wouldn't want to take the risk of one day accidentally eating it.

I'd do a little research and possibly eat it. I very regularly eat food that is LONG past the expiration date. For example I have canned meat that is almost 25 years old and I eat it as long as the can isn't split open. I eat five year old frozen meat and fish. I eat moldy cheese. I've been doing it my entire life and I'm still hanging in there.
25 years seems to be pushing it a bit. Never made you sick?
@DubiousIntentions
I've never gotten sick from it. But I've thrown some away when the can looked too rusted. I got it for free so I don't get too concerned about tossing it.
Smash it in the face of this insane fat activist who is screaming

Well, besides being overly stale, it is probably also hard as s rock by now.
Perfectly safe. I'd put it in a very safe place and never touch it.
I would just put it in a big plastic bag and store it in my spare room.
The same thing her ungrateful grandchildren are doing: sell it and buy some lottery tikets.
Absolutely not!
That's pretty disgusting, honestly. How has it not spoiled?
Yeh. Then it will hatch and come out a cool dude 😎😀
I’d throw that shit at somebody lol.
Nah I'd sell that shit
Wouldn’t it taste disgusting after that long?
No, I wouldn’t eat it
gross and nasty
