You know, the biscuit. I mean they're not too bad, but I don't understand the enthusiasm that some people have for what is, essentially, just a boring old snack that has a rather bland taste to it. They're sold in Australia, but they're not exactly popular over here, and before any triggered Oreo-lovers hit back with, "well, at least we don't eat Vegemite", I agree, that stuff should only ever be used as shoe polish; it's absolutely foul.
I agree 100% to me they just taste really artificial like chemicals pretending to be a biscuit. I suspect their popularity is down to heavy marketing convincing people they're a biscuit.

Oreos were good decade ago, now the white stuff inside tastes like paint stripper mixed with corn fructose

It's because oreos, like nutella, is very addicting in taste. I love them personally as well as other sandwich cookies. The crumbles go well in ice cream & milkshakes too. I can't wait for the s'mores oreos to come out for summer (I'm on a s'mores and graham cracker craze).
If I must eat one. I take off the top layer leaving the center and bottom. The top is trashed
Make them into a milkshake, that unlocks some great potential
I like the vanilla ones best, I mostly agree with you
