Why do fast food restaurants always cheat their customers?

It's a con game. That's why I prefer burger king or Wendy's. They are the only ones that come close to giving decent sizes. Some of those hamburgers at Wendy's are 1/4 of a pound I think. And those whoppers at Burger King are a decent size too.
I do know I don't get hungry for a while after eating one of them. Subway used to be decent until the price of everything double. McDonalds, I'm not even touching that one. The one that's down the street from me, they will prepare some of the foot a head of time, like fish sandwiches and hamburgers, and they will sit for so long, the hamburgers are hard around the edges, and the fish sandwiches are dry and hard.
Fast food is probably so overpriced because fat people kept suing them. Ain't nobody forced that cheeseburger down their throats, lol.
i won't get mh here but this question is actualy an accusation same as "why do women quote 'always cheat' in relationships" such questions are wrong who said that is the fact to explain. in my experience mcdonald was very visible about their prices and contents and never cheated despite being in "fast food". and even if "some did cheat the asker" the word "always" make the false accusation even worse.
the opposite of cheat a rare occurence when dominos pizza did not have exact change they gave me the larger coin rather than say forget the difference and give less "change" than justice.
Are you willing to pay for fast food that cuts your time to do the work of making the food? are the prices once you willing to pay?
So its not really cheating
besides prices along the way go up over time, as there more pepole you got a market where demand go up, but production can't hold up to it, making things rise prices
I mean if you think there cheating open your own one and knock them out on fair practice and better prices
But I think that be exstremaly hard to do if at all possible
One time I got a pizza that was smaller than it was supposed to be

Fast food restaurants aren’t the only ones cheating their customers especially nowadays. Prices are up & places like to cut corners & costs.
@XXblack88 it’s very sad.
Heavens, it's not only fast food places. But they ARE big offenders: their $4.00 combos are now $6.00, so that IS a bite in the butt when you're Jonesin' for a burger! A couple years ago, I could get a quart (32 ounce) bottle of lemon juice at Dollar Tree for $1.00. Today, I have to pay 25% more to get a pint bottle. Put on a an ounce for ounce basis, the price is now 2.5 times what it was before. Those 18 ounce peanut butter jars, have LONG been reduced to 16.3 or so for most brands. In the retail world, changes of up to 10% can usually go undetected for awhile: this is a fairly standard rule of thumb in sizing of retail product. Blame Folgers when they went to the "13 pound pound" years ago! Even 3" square Post-it notes were shrunk to 2 7/8" square. Doesn't sound like much, but it DOES result in a savings of 8.16% on the paper in a (nominal) "three inch" Post-it Note.
is pepperoni plural? you got fucked either way
oops - 13 OUNCE "pound".
What gets me is the actual/real food vs. their advertisement.

To remain profitable.
In this particular case, the song goes 5! $5 fooootlooooong... Can't change the 5 to 6 and then have to change the song too. So just cut off an inch and and claim footlong now trademark and not indication of length
That's what Dollar Tree said as the base price went up 25% and they added "premium" lines for up to $6 each item.
its not just fast food places any product you buy these days has shrunk and yet the price increases.
Because they'll keep doing it until people stop buying it.
Fast food has always been a scam. It barely qualifies as food.
The size of everything has shrunk and the price has gone up do to inflation. 16 Oz cans of food is now 14 or 15ounces but the size of the can stayed the same
Because the planet is overpopulated. If this keeps up, we'd probably have to pay for our tinu oxygen tanks too.
It's not just fast food it's also like that in the grocery store and your paying just as much if not more.
You got two choices in business to stay competitive. 1. Raise prices. 2. Shrink portions. People tend to notice raised prices more often than smaller portions.
Because they are ran by humans. And humans never seem to figure out only truth last forever
Things are just getting cheaper and cheaper and worse and worse
They don't it's inflation
The quality drops, the size drops or the prices goes up
It's pretty obvious they are
Same reason women cheat men... Money.
Well it is obviously about money.
Money. Why is that even a question?
Money money who don't want it...
I don’t even care I want a meatball sub
They typically care about nothing but money.
Money. Isn't it obvious?
To make money
Marketing. 🤷🏽♀️
Money... simple
