Do you have a special way to cook your turkey?

Years ago (man many) my ex-husband carved out the carcass of a half-frozen turkey, and then sewed it back up with a special thick, curved needle and thread. Then, when it was thawed out, I dressed and stuffed it. We roasted it following the recipe, and the result was a turkey that you could cut sideways (of course the chest only) and come out with a round turkey slice with stuffing in the center. We poured marsala mushroom gravy over it. It was delicious, but so much work. I don't think I could ever do that again. It was from Gourmet Magazine if you are interested in pursuing it! =( I I I )>. This is how we sliced it.
