What are some clever ways to make turkey more tasty?

A trick I learned was to flatten it so it can cook more evenly. You do that by extracting the bone in between the breasts.
Also, use compound butter. You wanna get that bad boy on the skin and underneath it, and you will be surprised with the results. A compound butter is butter that is mixed with herbs and seasonings, and there are pretty much no rules when it comes to what flavor profile you want to add to your butter.
I have smoked turkeys and they turned out great. The smokiness adds nice flavor. Brining them in advance helps, as does injecting a solution into the muscle before cooking. Mixing up softened butter with garlic and herbs and spreading it under the skin, especially over the breast, works great as well. You can add whatever flavors you want to the brine and/or injection solution, and to the butter mixture.

There are a few clever ways to make turkey delicious. My favorite is to start by marinating the meat to keep the juices in. A marinade with orange, lemon, garlic and spices can work wonders. Then, if you brush it with some honey and butter and cook it on low heat for a long time, it will also prevent the meat from drying out.
You can also try adding some stuffing; for example, stuffing made with walnuts, raisins and some spices would be delicious! All the flavor of the turkey will be infused into it and you will feel like a chef!
There is nothing like cooking with pleasure and joy, live the moment and enjoy it!
i am a vegetarian but cooked for a large family growing up, you put your water with seasoning, some butter in your pan. then cook the turkey with the breast side down in the pan makes the turkey juicier and better flavor
Baste it regularly while cooking with a garlic and melted butter solution, and keep a sheet of aluminum foil loosely over the bird while cooking to keep the juices in.
I live in the south and we always deep fry them. We fry everything in the south though lol.
Rosemary infused olive oil. Heat it up and now and then, baste the outside of the turkey with it
My dad always inject the Turkey with his seasoning and marinade. I know another that cuts it open and put flavor inside of it as well.
