I have refrigerator filled with prepared dishes which I can put in microwave or oven and can it them in less than 30 minutes.
When I cook a sauce, or soup, I make often 3-4 portions so I freeze part of them. Untreated meat portions need to be 5-6 hours to thaw. This demands a little bit planing.
Either canned chicken (drop 2 cans into a bowl, heat it up for 15:00 and it's ready to eat.) or canned hamburger (it's already cooked so, again, just heat it in a bowl for 15. Only drag is, they keep including things in there that look like square sheets of skin, maybe sliced, split open blood veins!! YUCK!!!)
Otherwise, maybe order a pizza or make a couple sandwiches.
Last night's dinner and this morning's breakfast was prison food!! A few slices of bread and some water to wash it down. I just didn't have time for anything else.
Pan-fried Maultaschen (meat dumplings) strips with eggs.
With products from the supermarket, five minutes.
Damn. That looks amazing. Well done.
@bddddd
That’s just a stock photo - I use more eggs. Generally I think food is more for the palate and less for the eyes. 😂
My go to would be fruits, ice coffees and granola bars. Or i would just snack on Zooper Doopers (basically frozen flavored sodas). Ice cream is another one of my fav thing to eat when i don’t feel like cooking. I would also make food days before and refrigerate/freeze it so i would have something nutritious or else i would just eat frozen soda sticks for all i care
When cooking feels like a chore, I reach for a comforting bowl of ramen 🍜. The umami-rich broth, slurpy noodles, and an array of toppings can be assembled in no time. It's a warm hug in a bowl! Adding a soft-boiled egg or some fresh greens makes it even more satisfying. Simple yet incredibly satisfying for those lazy culinary days!

I'll got to the butcher section of the nearby Japanese supermarket and get a lot of sliced fresh sashimi and a just few select sushi.
Actually something similar to the dish you have here, but with a "lazy gal's" yogurt sauce my gran used to make when SHE didn't feel like cooking.
Heat the pasta then add the parmesan and spices, mixing that well. Then add two 2-3 spoons of yogurt to make it a little creamy.
So,
I have some cooked meals in my freezer, ready to heat up. Soup from a box with some bread is a valid meal. Some eggs on tortillas with whatever leftover from the fridge and a touch of salad feels like a treat.
Tortellini from the store, cooked in 4 minutes, then add a jar of ready basil tomato sauce on top and done. The boiled pasta will heat up the sauce.
Food equals love.
Yes im the same way I always cook enough to feed an army. So when I cook chilly or soups or spaghetti sauce sometimes I can make 3 meals out of it. So I just freeze the leftovers and if I don't feel like cooking , I just pull one of those out. Or a quick pasta dish or the night before , if I had a london broil or roast beef , I will do a quick Spanish rice. Or like you said like a roast , beef sandwich , tomatoes , red onions , avocado dish
Instant spicy kimchi soup, a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato slices, spaghetti with melted cheddar cheese and ketchup (hate me if you want, but it's good), and egg with cheddar and toast.
Don't knock it till you've tried it 😉 Literally it's just spaghetti, then you shred cheddar (a lot of it) and toss it in the microwave, then add some ketchup and mix it up until it all looks red-orange.
But yes, it did start when I was a kid. It was something my mom used to make for me when she was lazy 😂
Gotta shake my head at ya. Close minded 😤 I ain't telling ya to eat cockroaches 😂
I barely ever cook my food I like to keep the nutrition intact. And yes I do not eat animals. I like to have a huge bowl of cherries.🍒
I eat mostly fruit... and thanks I already know that🍒
Meal prep for those days.
Usually have about 4-8 meals in my freezer I can just take out, then I just have to cut some veggies.
This time of year it's really easy to just heat up a can of soup on the woodstove as I continue my hibernation until spring.
I usually make a wrap with deli sliced lunch meats, lettuce, fresh jalapenos, and a bit of hot sauce & spicy mustard.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup or a brioche bun and a babybel cheese lol
Yeah they are :)
Cheese-It crackers and a glass of iced cold milk. 🥛
Dairy Queen and honestly I'm pretty bad about it because it's about a block away so I get a chicken strip basket and a blizzard.
lol I immediately pictured you holding the basket full of chicken strips in one hand while sipping the blizzard with the other.
There’s no Dairy Queen near me but I remember when I was in Texas visiting family. We all had a blizzard and half of us got brain freeze at the same time.. it was hilarious
Yeah that's a pretty accurate depiction though it comes with fries, texas toast and gravy as well.
I also occasionally like going into Roma's in a nice Italian restaurant in town dark and relaxing I love their Italian seafood I like just taking my time eating and drinking beer in there because it's got relaxing music playing the lights are dimmed, etc. Very nice and relaxing environment.
Salad. Quick and easy. Throw some chicken on for protein and done.

my favorite and if you ride with me, you’re gonna like it to
Sandwiches are reliable or a cup ramen or something
The best decisions are the bigback decisions 😂
A bowl of cereal with milk.

I don't know if I ever feel that way, but if I do, I might just order a pizza or some barbecue. Or go to a bar and get a burger.
Delivery, i have a big list of hotline numbers just so they serve my big belly 🤣🤣
Can’t go wrong with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.🥪
Starvation or ordering delivery food. I can't cook.
Ramen. Water boiler, gigantic Pyrex bowel, microwave for 4 minutes
Pancakes are quick & easy. If that is to much work some water in a pot & Kraft dinner in about 6-8 minutes.
tomato, zucchini sliced salad, balsamic vinegar, marjoram, black pepper; deli tuna
and of course a very good olive oil.
nutritious, zero cooking, fast, with lots of leftover tuna on toast for breakfast
If I can stomach turning on a hotplate... I think I know just the kind of don't feel like cooking night you mention... spaghetti carbonara but with porcini and brown mushrooms instead of bacon is good, fast, easy. If I have some asparagus i would slice diagonally super fine and stir through at the end, but I almost never do.
Take out from my fav Thai or other Asian restaurant.
Instant noodles with shrimp .
Its so quick when im starving 😅
Noodles? I only eat the veggie ones. Shrimp I'll buy the cooked ones and quickly pan fry them with the noodles. Now I'm craving it 😅
I’ll settle for a tall glass of chocolate milk and a bacon and egg sandwich.
I would go for ordering a big piece of steak with some rice and grilled veggies
burrito meal from my local authentic Mexican restaurant
I'll just order takeout. Tacos are never a bad idea
Ham and eggs. or Blueberry waffles.
