Meat is important, since it's the heart of a hamburger. Of course additional stuff like quality of pickles or sauces makes a difference but without good meat, no matter how good that other stuff is, there is no chance burger will be relay a taste sensation.
Generally, I make two types of burger.
Cheeseburger: mayonnaise, very thin onion slices, lettuce, thin salt cured cucumber or pickle, meat patty, cheese slice, mustard ketchup mix.
Smoked ham Hamburger: barbecue sauce, onion slices, salt cured cucumber, meat patty, roasted smoked ham slice, ketchup or more barbecue sauce,'
For the meat patty, I take venison or grass fed beef, grind it add just salt and a little bit black pepper, make a 1,5-2cm thick patties and roast it on super hot pan 2 min long with a little bit sesame oil. After I put a TBL butter and put patties in baking oven by 80-90C for 10-15 minutes to get meat pink inside.
Good hamburger is a lot of work. For me alone it's too much effort to make just a single one. It's not a dish that taste good reheated due fresh onion slices end lettuce
Oh... venison burger!!! I'm dining at Chez Freya!
Fries and yoghurt?
I'm having Pulp Fiction flashbacks...

First, you need high fat content ground beef - extra lean beef is going to make a lousy, dry burger.
I like to finely dice some onion and blend that into the beef before forming into patties. Patties should be about a cm larger in diameter than the bun you are using, because they will shrink, and I make a large dimple in the middle of the patty which will fill up as the burger shrinks. I season my burgers with season salt and plenty of black pepper. And I use two slices of cheese. I usually have American, cheddar, and pepper jack as options. And I don't use the cheap buns, but some kind of premium bun. It's my brother's job to toast the buns while I grill the meat.
Simple. Elegant. Nice.
Yes. A burger doesn't need to be complicated, but a BIT of extra care and attention can make a big difference.
Obviously, you want to have nice fresh lettuce, tomatoes, etc. to dress the burger with, and I like to make steak fries in the air fryer, but, again, nothing overly complicated. I get lots of compliments and virtually no complaints, so I must be doing something right.
Lately i have been enjoying lettuce-wrapped bacon cheeseburgers with tomatoes, onions, a fried egg, ketchup and mustard. It would be better if the shop i get them from had pepper jack cheese, or even a nice sharp cheddar. But their American cheese is good enough. I kinda ruin it to splash some hot sauce on it before i eat. I can never get the lettuce wrapped back up right, but i gotta make it spicy! 😂😂
A perfect burger feels a bit dangerous 😏
For wild kangaroo mince, I’d go extra fatty to balance the leanness: streaky bacon rendered in the pan, and fry the patty right in that fat. Sharp cheddar or blue cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, and a spicy mayo mixed with a touch of mustard.
Soft toasted brioche, meat medium-rare, juices running everywhere… bliss. 🍔🔥

Fresh high-quality ingredients! ☝️
to me...
it would be... a chicken burger, first of all
second, the most crunchiest and fresh of the fresh lettuce out there
real, actual, gran salts... no refined shit, no substitutes
a really good mix of mustard, and mayo... no ketchup, yes to pepper
any bread would be good enough for me... I am not picky on that, but it will be buttery and toasted
Nice. Something also yells 'smashed avocado' at me when people talk chicken burgers.
I would smash my own brain to a mush... before I eat any avocado... lol
Lol!
I meant to say... I don't like avocado, lol
I'm trying to keep away from burgers, because they are so expensive considering what they are.
But I usually like burgers with mustard and onions, and with salad, they're probably as healthy as they can be.
My fridge was empty at the weekend, and I had nothing for my tea, so I went to McD and bought a Big Mac with fries, those burgers are ok, but I think my burgers bought in a packet, and cooked by myself are better.
I think the big chains reached peak productivity about 1990 ... they've probably gone backwards by expanding their menus... so more and more of what you are paying for is labour costs.
Beer, Lawry's seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper, a dash of Worcestershire and tiny bit of blackberry jam all mixed into the ground beef. Topped with bacon and Swiss cheese. Then topped onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos all sauteed together. On a good toasted bun.
Swanky!
Good meat, charged on the outside. Touch of barely pink on the inside, salt and pepper on both sides, couple dashes of thyme on the bottom of the burger, I like my onions raw but sometimes I throw a bunch in the pan to let the meat cook in it.
Onions on the burger, then cheese, then whatever else.
I made 6 of them yesterday for some friends. Thyme on the bottom. Very lightly.
The meat, the cheese, the buns, and last but certainly not least, the spices! I prefer ground ribeye, but ground chuck is pretty good too, two slices of medium cheddar, fresh French bakery buns, and a generous amount of steak seasoning. Slap it on the grill, cook to medium well, and toasted buns. I also like some sautéed onions. Now, I want a burger. God damn you
Glad I could be of service.
It's all about the cheese.
Sharp cheddar cheese, smoked Gouda, crisp lettuce and caramelized onions. So good !
I can practically taste it! Love caramelised onions on a burger.
Thrown in the garbage, usually. Ghastly excuse for food.
Lol. You're off the invite list!
I don't mean to minimize this in any way - however, using the best meat you can possibly afford and cooking it properly over a barbecue has a lot to do with making a perfect burger.
Secondarily, I would say that using a really good bun means a lot, too.
its he meat. If it is hamburger meat it won't be good. I get ground sirloin and I like to make them fresh from the supermarket without freezing them.
Nice. I imagine you can push the burger pretty rare with fresh ground beef. Juicy!
Meat... no vegetarian patty
Bacon
Cheese
Maybe spicy chili
Onions...
Delicious sauce
Very delicious bread.
Grilled not just warmed up.
If it's almost exactly like an In-N-Out double-double, animal-style burger.
(Assuming it isn't the actual In-N-Out double-double, animal-style burger.)
I also very much like juicy medium-well burgers with mayo, pickles, Swiss cheese and truffle mushrooms.
I chop up garlic onion and bell pepper mix with the hamburger before I make a patty
And then after cook for sure , tomato and avocado besT food mayonnaise
Replace the bun with a toasted English Muffin. The textures better and the meat to bread ratio is greatly improved.
Nice hamburger bun, fresh lettuce, egg, bacon, mushrooms, onions grilled in the juice of the hamburgers, mayo, mustard and ketchup...
Ohhh sh*t I forgot the cheddar ofcourse 🙈🤦🏻♀️
Certainly not that egg - - - cheese, ketchup or bbq sauce, onions, pickles are the basics. Bacon if a bacon burger. Maybe mayo or a ketchup/mayo "secret sauce" if the place has it, crispy onions in some places.
My perfect burger consists of a decent quality ground beef grilled with onions mixed in the hamburger bacon sometimes salami pepperoni slices on top jalapenos pineapple little mozzarella cheese and some sharp cheddar
cheese, onions, lettuce
My favorite r the Big Mac n the McDLT (McDonald's Lettuce Tomato). McDonald's has both.
A burger must be juicy. seasoned, and a good ratio between bun and meat.
All the way, through the garden.
Blue cheese
bacon and a fried egg
Damn I love blue cheese! Simple but good.
Hungry stomach.
In-N-Out Burgers
What about the burger you make 😊
A burger i dont puke on
It's from a fast food major chain ⛓️😁 🍔
