Depression. What to text a depressed GF without pressuring her or making her feel bad?

Any text ideas? I sent her a text saying that I know she's going through a rough time and im sorry about that. I just want u to know that im here for you and I care about u. I know u would be there for me if I needed u.
She didn't respond to that text. I feel like I should give her some time but what should I text her in a few days or a week when I reach out again?

I know she's in a dark place and she feels like she's a burden to the world.. especially to me and is protecting me from this. But im crazy about her. She even sent me a text last week saying she cares about m a lot an even misses me but wants to break up because she doesn't want me to hurt anymore?

She seems to feel really guilty for involving me and is beginning to convince herself that a break up protects me from this. It also seems she feels like she is not goo enough no matter what I tell her.

I think the best would be to mostly let her know that you're there for her, and that you love her and don't want her to leave you. And the little things really really help, waaay more then you might think. Try sending her some handwritten notes, not about her depression, but just general things that have been happening, like a funny story that happened to you yesterday. She most likely still loves you and doesn't want to leave you but thinks it's the best for you. You need to tell her it's not. Like try sending her a box of chocolates or a rose or something sweet like that. I have been through a bit of depression and it felt like my world was going dark, so you need to be the light in the darkness, the hand that reaches through to her. Mainly just be there for her. I appreciate the advice. Its weird though with her; the nicer I am the harder for her and actually the meaner she gets. But its texting and she won't tell me whats wrong or whats bothering her. Right now she won't even agree to meet with me and talk cuz she doesn't want this crap to be our as conversation

i do think giving her a few days of space is a good thing if she didn't respond to your last text. so maybe in a couple days just message her just reminding her that you are there for her and if she needs anything just to let you know, and maybe just let her know that there's no pressure to respond to you just yet. there's only so much you can do in these kind of situations so i think just be patient and try not to let this take over you you know?

then maybe just give her some space, if she's set on a breakup thats the best thing you can do. just if you want to send her a text, id just send something pretty brief just saying that your there for her, and leave it at that for a bit. she needs space i think so just give her that.

Yeah that's probably the only thing I can do at this point. Depression is complicated. She seems to think the opposite of everything I tell her to try and reassure her mind

yea definitely, considering she's dealing with her own mentality (which is very overwhelming when your depressed) i think having to deal with other peoples emotions and to worry about how they're feeling might be a little too much for her at the moment which is probably why she ended it just be patient with her and don't overwhelm her right now

Yeah its so hard to just leave it alone tho. You care about this peson and just hate seeing them that way. Im not an insecure person at all but I can't help feel that way. What if she wants nothing to do with me and I never see her again? I want to know whats going on. As great as our relationship was, I feel like I did something wrong.

i can tell you this right now if you smother her with texts and phone calls she will not come back to you. but considering you care about her a lot its important to respect what she wants, and right now she wants to be broken up, whether thats a permeant thing or not is hard to say, so just respect her wishes and give her some space and time. it'll be hard thats for sure, but your doing it because you care about her.

That is not how it works. You just be there for her and keep an open line. She has choices to make about her mental health. You can only make suggestions and listen.

She doesn't want to see me. She just told me he doesn't want me to be hurt anymore by her problems.

no need to tell her about it. just go buy some chocolates or something, and surprise her. Make her forget about it; dont let her linger in depression but instead, make her happy.

I feel like she's pretty fragile right now and that would just annoy her because its not what she wants right now
