My girlfriend says my name in her sleep, why?

I've been living with my girlfriend for a few months and every night without fail, she has whispered my name in her sleep. I work nights, she works days and she's always asleep as I'm getting ready for my night shift and I would hear her say my name. At first it was just weird but I can accept this and I don't think she's aware she does this in her sleep. She also has a habit of singing/talking in her sleep; in a way this makes her more adorable.

But why does she whisper my name in her sleep? it's the first thing she says in her sleep before the singing and talking.

Most likely, she's dreaming about your future together. Either that, or she's pranking you.

My girlfriend isn't a big pranker and for this to be every night for 3 months, I doubt it's a prank.

A lot of times people don't remember their dreams, or it's just too embarrassing for them to talk about. If it isn't an "I don't remember" situation, then we all could probably guess what she's dreaming about.

I actually do ask her about what she dreams about and she says either nothing or something unrelated to me.

scientists say that everyone has like 10,000 dreams a night but u only remember like a couple of them, or none.
