If someone says they never want to speak to you again, how long do you wait for them to cool off?

We know this statement is nearly always rhetorical, but the person is really angry all the same. How long do you wait before testing to see if they are ready to talk about the issue?

If your emotions are getting in the way of your rationale and you have the slightest interest that you may want to continue communication, best just to walk away and give yourself 24 hrs Before you say something you don't mean.

I just let them have their space. They can contact me when/if they want. I may try again in a day or two (maybe more, depending on the situation) but I won't push it.
