Girls, If a girl follows you around school?

So after class, I leave a classroom next to the classroom of this girl I know, and I noticed her start to follow me after class. I purposely took a route going in a circle, and when I ended up where I started, she was still behind me. If I look behind me and make eye contact, she will run up and talk to me, but sometimes she just follows me. Why would she follow me instead of coming up to me and talking to me? Is she shy? Thanks!

She's probably too shy to talk to you. Maybe try to have a conversation with her and you'll probably turn into friends? :)
