I'v known this girl for 5 years, and we've been really close for a year and some.

There were times looking in her eyes or laughing together, when I thought she felt the same way I did.
The opportunity presented itself and so I told her that I like her and have feelings for her. Then she got all weird and said, "you mean a lot to me and you are a very special friend, but I didn't intend for you to have feelings for me."

So the real question is, does it mean what it sounds like?
