What does it mean to "feel sexy"?

Girls will often say they dress a certian way not to attract men but simply because they want to "feel sexy".

So Im wondering what exactly does that means to you? What does feeling sexy feel like?

Also what is it about that particular outfit or article of clothing that makes you "feel sexy"?

It's a good question, because as guys, we generally don't do this.

I think if you replace 'sexy' with 'sharp and sophisticated' or something like that, we might. If i put on a well cut suit and look in the mirror, i know i look good. So i might like that look not just because people like it, but because i know i look good.

By contrast, i never think i look sexy. I'm flattered when women find me hot which happens online at least sometimes. But there's never a situation where i'd put on something and be like 'oh yeah i look hot'. But i guess if it was as easy/reliable to look hot as it is for me to look sharp, i could have that confidence and take personal satisfaction in it.

I'm pretty sure women as a group have no idea how non-sexy we feel as men, every day, for most of our lives.

Whenever I feel sexy it means that I feel confident within my own skin and it feels like I can conquer all. But the right clothing can make me feel sexy too. The right black dress, favorite pair of heels, make up. It gives that extra confidence boost because you just feel beautiful in it and that's when I feel sexy.

hmm. i feel sexy when i know i look good. sometimes an outfit fits just right. snug in all the right places. hair is perfect. make up is on point. everything looks good. that makes me feel confident, and feeling sexy stems from that. i can't feel sexy without feeling confident. the two are intertwined.

it's mostly with how i feel / how i see myself. if i don't feel sexy then i don't see how anyone else could possibly think that lol. when i get dressed up and everything, i don't do it to attract people. i do it feel better about how i look.
