My guy friend tried to kiss me but I'm not into him

So I met this guy through a friend we had a lot in common and made it clear to my friend that I wasn't lookin to get hooked up (I'm still not over my ex). So he and I have hung out one on one a few times a week now and he never tried anything before (but I've only known him a few months) we chill like normal friends, never asked about relationships to one another and last night when he was leaving my place he pulled me in for a hug and came really close to my face... I think if it wasn't for the confused look on my face when he was inches from it, he would have kissed me.

I don't see him like that but think he is such an amazing guy (Personality wise he is my type but I am not attracted to him, I just enjoy his company. It's hard to find cool people to chill with). What do I do now? Do I avoid him for a bit?

nah. don't make it awkward just be honest with him. then ask him what he wants-like if he feels awkward or needs some time becuase the more you hang out the more he likes you. avoiding him will only make it awkward. if he is a good friend of yours like you say he deserves to know how you feel. he is obviously getting the wrong impression if he went in for the kill

No baby girl don't ignore him but I think you should tell him that you only want to be friend s and nothing more. The best thing to do is be honest with him. He probably like you more than you think so before he catch more feeling for you ...u should tell him face to face not over the phn that ur not attracted to him like that. Jus b real

I say you end the friendship depending on how much he likes you. It would suck for him if he kept his feelings for you knowing you will never feel the same for him.
