Guys do you say "I miss you" to girls you're not into?

This guy and I have been friends for awhile and sometimes it seems like there might be more there. Lately, we've both been pretty busy and haven't seen each other much. Yesterday when I got to a BBQ with friends, he greeted me with a big hug and said "It's good to see you, I miss you."

Personally, I don't say I miss you all that often, and almost never to friends unless they've been gone for like months.

Now, I'm curious- guys do you generally say I miss you to girls you're only friends with? Or is I miss you kind of reserved for girls you're interested in dating?

I don't say it too often, but when I say it, I'm generally pretty serious. It's not something I just throw around. It's usually reserved for people I have a real fondness for. People like my best of friends, or the people I have a real attachment to, or the truly awesome. Yes sometimes that can include girls I'm interested in dating.

Honestly though I think that if you like this guy, and you yourself are interested in dating him, then you have a pretty good chance here. I say take this as an opportunity to get closer to him. Talk to him maybe even be bold and ask him how he feels about you. Though I'll advise you that if you just ask he may hold off on telling you he likes you even if he does like you, if you want the truth, I say the easiest way to get at it, is through talking to him and maybe telling him how you feel about him, if there are any feelings there at all.

well...i do the "hugging and kiss on the cheek" thing with most of my female friends...i grew up in europe and its sorta the culture there to greet your friends like that...even guys sometimes...

I say "i miss you" to many of my female friends that are close to me...well...cuz I do really miss them...but I have no intention of dating them watsoever...and many of my close female friends say "i miss you" as well...

So I say I miss you to girls I am good friends with...

It really depends on the guy. Some guys don't say it unless they really mean it, while other guys are more open and say it to anyone.
