Why do her friends and her keep looking at me?

So I like this really hot girl in the school. Well for the past year she keeps looking at me when I'm not looking, and if I return the stare or catch her she looks away.

Well this year she's been doing the same stuff, but she'll be really loud and stare at me as she does it, and if I get close she gets really quiet. Then on top of that whenever I walk by her friends they all look at me even though my crush isn't there. Why are they like this?
