Why do my crush's friends and her keep looking at me?

So the girl I like keeps looking at me and so do her friends. They'll all do it when I'm not looking and sometimes I think they whisper about me. They've seen me look at my crush but only a few times, and sometimes my crush looks at me when I'm not looking too. They even notice me outside of class. Why?

Are you even on talking terms with this crush? If no, establish that. Small talk is good enough.
Get comfortable around her and sit with her sometimes. If you can, ask to spend time with her without her friends there. I think you will start making headway from there. Don't be too bothered with things that are out of your control like her friends looking at her, we can't know why they are really doing it.
