My best friend Melissa has he's in a relationship with her boyfriend Alex for over 8 years now but I think at the end of 2018 she started dating and sleeping with another guy on the side (David) until like November last year because she wasn't sure about her relationship with her boyfriend. It got to the point that she thought about leaving Alex for David.
But as time passed she decided to stay with alex and told me and David that we can flirt and all. (that was pretty weird but she just wanted to be done with him and I guess have him focus on someone else)
Back in January she was focused on finishing up her classes and also she was moving in with Alex and working as well and she just completely cut off me and David. We were confused and every time we tried to communicate with her through texts or phone calls we would get no response at all. Pretty much I was the one helping David get through that "break up" and we both bonded over the fact that we missed her. We were talking like friends until he started talking to me in a sexual way and I thought it was okay since I thought she gave us permission to flirt. We never met up in person, sent pics or anything but we just talked dirty here and there not too much or too many times either. I guess I just liked that little rush of someone flirting with me besides my boyfriend
Then I think around April she contacted me again and we we're able to resume our friendship and she had said that basically she had stopped talking to me because she needed some space from me. She said that was being too "possessive" or whatever. But she said repeatedly that she was annoyed with David and did not want anything to do with him
So cut to a few weeks ago when David messaged me saying that he missed melissa and of course I let her know "This guy is not over you" so she called him to let him know that it wasn't going to work out between them. But then she found out that we were flirting and says our friendship is over and I betrayed her
