Does anyone else have a friend that does this?

I have a friend that wears outfits way too small for her. She basically gained a ton of covid weight and hasn’t gotten any new clothes it’s gross.

I really hope these photos aren't of this friend you speak of... If so, that is a really shitty thing to do and not very friend-like at all.

Perhaps she can't afford many new clothes at the moment? Maybe she is planning on losing the weight and doesn't want to spend on new clothes if she won't be able to wear them for long (though since I've been there before, eBay/online second hand marketplaces and thrift stores are her friend in this case)?

Either way, weight gain is frustrating and losing the weight can be hard, so I wish her luck in whatever she chooses (and hope you will be supportive and not call her "gross" behind her back and post about her online; seriously, this is so junior high and you need to grow up).

If you're actually interested in helping her and don't just want to make fun of her on a public forum, maybe invite her shopping, to work out with you (or even just go for a walk), etc. If you want to be a friend, try to help motivate her and work with her. It does everyone good, even those who are not overweight, to exercise and eat healthy, so it's something you two can do together.

As someone who used to be overweight, but actually wore clothes that were way too big in an effort to mask my insecurities (and that didn't do me any favors), I can relate to her in a way. Just remember that it's one thing to disagree with the way someone presents themselves, but is crossing the line to take it to a public forum with pictures (assuming these are pictures of her).

Also, for what it's worth, I lost the weight, lol. But be careful running your mouth about people's weight, because life has a funny way of coming around to kick people in the ass, and it's very likely you will gain weight at some point as well.

Also pretty sad that you got nothing else from my post and have no interest in trying to help your friend, but yet want to throw around insults like a spoiled brat. Typical junior high BS. 🙄
