Is it weird for two female cousins to shower together?

Me and my cousin grew up together and are best friends. We used to shower together when younger and never really grew out of it. We still had showers together sometimes when I was in college and I never thought it was weird at all. Now I'm in a relationship and haven't seen my cousin in a long time, we shared a hotel room on a 1 week vacation and ended up having a shower together one day when we were in a rush to leave. I'm 26 years old now and my boyfriend says it's weird. She's my best friend and we don't think of each other in any sexual way. Is it still weird?

If you both are comfortable with it, its not weird. Asking a bunch of strangers on here if its "weird" you are going to get all kinds of answers.

Guys in a gym will all shower in a group area, some gyms have wide open shower areas. So do women in locker rooms, sometimes big group showers. People change in a gym and their bodies show. It seems pretty accepted in the US at least. So in general same sex people showering or changing clothes in that setting is not generally deemed as weird.

Now in private, in your home or in a hotel, where you could each take your own shower but choose to shower together... well that is up to you, and like I said, if neither of you think its weird, then it isn't. Just my opinion. Keep in mind someone else who sees you two getting in the shower together, may form their own ideas about it.
