Are we still gonna be awkward or are we going to be going back to normal soon?

I liked female colleague recently and we were close for a period of time, and some misunderstanding happened and led to me being overreacting a little which strained the friendship between both of us.

we talked about the situation and i confessed to her to which she told me she does not like me and never will. and i am halfway to being a good friend.

after the talk, the situation was awkward we did not really talk to each other even tho we ran into each other.

then while we were ending our work, she made small talks about work.

today I accidentally hurt myself during work however she did not really know about it.

since our talk earlier, we haven't been messaging for a while.

but she messaged me after work asking me if my back was ok. we exchanged text a little. and i ended the convo in text.

i do not really know what to feel. I still like her, and i am trying to forget about her.

i am not sure if we will really go back to being normal.

any opinions?

It sounds like she’s trying to have some normalcy between you two. You just have to not think about it so much. You might not ever get over it especially if you feel it made it awkward. At least you’re still talking if that’s something you can look forward to however small.
