What were your teenage dreams?

Question

I always wanted to have more freedom, to have my own choices, to come and go as I pleased but mostly as a teen I crushed on both guys and girls and had lots of dreams about the one I was crushing on.

Did you have aspirations?

If you are a girl, did you dream every day of finding the love of your dreams, your crush, your soul mate?

Or, if you are a guy were you more into dreaming of becoming rich because that is more what guys like to dream about... well, coming only after sexual exploits of course... lol

Like literal dreams or what I want for my future? I’ll tell both. My dream for my future is to be a successful Conga Artist, maybe even the best which I probably already am. If I had the same ability as some of the Manements, you couldn’t possibly deny that statement. Some of my literal dreams are wet, a giant rock wall with these weird giant snakes that had horse heads and green tentacles that were under the rock wall and I was in a group of people with Blisk from Titanfall 2 leading us all. Another one I had was in a place that I immediately implemented into Quilace, one of the planets I made up. The place in this dream had a woolly rhino pushing an ox or bull (some sort of cattle) at the speed of light. He also brought my brother and I to another rocky place. Except this one was way smaller compared to the rock wall, and it looked similar to the huts Native Americans made. But when we entered, the inside was an entire cave. As we walked, we came across a ravine with a tower of flat rectangular rocks stacked on one another. This tower resembled Jenga. Around it were smaller floating rocks.

I didn't have many as a teen as my family haven't ever encouraged me to anything they genuinely don't seem to like me much. And I always moved between groups of friends due to not fitting in. Or just being mocked all the time so I didn't believe in dreams and still don't really.

When I got to be about 16 I started to hope I could get the job I wanted and meet someone to fall in love with who would love me as well. And also that I could move out and away from my family. At where I am I don't even want them to know where I live when I move out and of someone ever likes me and that develops I know if I'm fortunate enough to marry I don't want them there.

I never dreamt about those sorts of carnal interested it was true love that was and is still my interest as much as it had some fascination with me as it would for most teens I knew I'd want to wait till I was serious.

At this point I hope I will always be best friends with the one I'm best friends with now I met her at collage and she's honestly the greatest friend I've ever had. I didn't really have even good friends before. I hope to get a good job and move out and I really hope to me a woman who will love me and that I fall in love with. They aren't dreams they are just hopes and even hope is foolish at times.

To be in a famous rock band, to work in a record store, radio station or record pressing plant, to be filthy rich but NOT out of greed! If I were a billionaire, I'd LOVE to give some of it away to people that REALLY need it!! To have a girlfriend that loves me endlessly that I could marry, have kids with and spend the rest of my life with.
So far, I WAS in a semi-famous band for a couple decades and I ALMOST had the girlfriend thing sewn up. I worked in 4 record stores for a total of about 2 or 3 months. I've HELPED a few DJ's on their radio shows and I have yet to even FIND a pressing plant, let alone see the inside of one or work there!
It's kinda how XTC once said after having 5 albums out, "We wanted to be very famous & rich and have lots of beer the dressing rooms! Well, we got the beer in the dressing room..."

I was always forever daydreaming about being successful at something. Listening to music, I'd be daydreaming, imagining myself as the singer. Sometimes I'd daydream about myself being a great artist, or programmer, etc. Now I'm an adult, and reality has sunk in, and I only hope to be financially stable enough, to eventually be able to quietly do my hobbies, full time.

Of course, I daydreamed about the girls I liked, liking me back too, but I was a fat troll of a kid, as a teenager, so that might have been more a fantasy, than imagining myself as the singers, in rock bands 🤣.

I dreamed of finding Mr. Right and getting married at like 19 and having like 5 kids by my current age. Being a stay at home mom, raising the kids but still helping around the family farm and business.

Essentially stay at home mom but could paid by the family business for whatever I could do to get extra income.

I'm very close to my family, we all are.

I am really hoping the man I'm with now will work out to be Mr. Perfect in 2022 and I can at least get started on part of it.

Although these days, I'm not sure about working on the family farm as I have a career at a decent fortune 500 company with great benefits, even if it is a bit boring or being a stay at home mom anymore.

I dreamed of becoming successful. I thought that love and a relationship would come naturally, like it was not a goal or something to aim for.
I wanted to become a politician. That's why I chose to study Economics. I liked politicians who talk about economics and real problems and statistics not the ones who just attack each other.
Then it switched to wanting to be successful in business as I thought that it would be more adaptable to me.

I'm a teenager now and my dream since I was of 2 years was to be a singer. I had really good voice also which was capable for being one but after puberty started it became deep and average. I concentrate on being song writer more since I became 13. Still singer is something I would love to do and have passion for not sure though if I can. I never really "dreamed" of guys and dating in my early teens... I was a hyper tomboy and all I cared for was having fun with my friends.
In my later teens I did a whole transformation and I started realising a lot about life and my biggest dream became to become fully independent and happy, with a career where I help people and also adopt puppies lol

I wanted to:

Make money selling my designs (most of which ended up getting stolen or ignored and usually that latter).
Lose my virginity with a virgin girl who meant something to me.
Get my mom and dad everything they wanted.
Stop being depressed.
Play football.
Get a regular paying job.

That was pretty much my bucket list of things I wanted to do ASAP.
#1 didn’t work out.
#2 ended up just going for it with a random girl (yes I regret that don’t ask people)
#3 didn’t work out bc I never got rich and I realized my mom and dad were liars and tried to ruin ppls reputations and basically not good people
#4 that worked out thankfully
#5 worked out thanks to me leaving home as soon as I turned 18
