Why do you girls dart your eyes towards a guy when your talking with someone else, look to the side of him then look away as if you didn't notice him?

I've has this a lot over the years! Me and a girl might have a bit of an unspoken flirtation based on complete "plausible deniability", you may or may not secretly like each other and haven't overtly flirted which each other beyond silly small talk and "awkward conversations" with the occasional wry smile. But every so often you might be sitting around or walking on by from a distance as she's distracted talking to someone else or a whole group; then as you find yourself looking towards her you see she's kind of glancing at you by looking through you or as if someone is next to you (note: nobody is there!); and as you meet her eyes for a split second she pauses whilst faining looking mildly entertained with the person or group she's speaking to and then looks on back and goes on to carry on chatting away as you pass by, or whatever lol...

I think anyone who's shy does this. I've done it sometimes to folks since I've had people get up in my business for staring so out of habit I look away.

I hear what your saying! By shy, do you generally mean attracted?

Not necessarily! I mean someone could certainly be shy but I just mean like they have a shy personality. Like maybe an introvert or someone who gets bashful easily. Personally, I wouldn't take someone looking away to be a sign of attraction. :)
