Question

A very wealthy girlfriend's sister hired a guy to use him as a punching bag to improve her boxing skills. The girl will punch and the guy will take it. He just defend himself and never strike back and then get paid. Would you work in a masochistic job like this just for money?

Depends on the amount of money lol jk There are guys who do this everyday. They are called martial arts instructors. They get paid to teach you martial arts. Sometimes that means the instructor does defense only while you get to practice and other times they come at you like any opponent would.

Whenever my instructor taught us martial arts, we were not allowed to spar with anyone but instructors until we learned enough techniques to give ourselves some variety and we could scale our attacks. This was because the instructors knew what to do if our technique was wrong or out of control so we would not hurt ourselves or our sparring partners. Only once we reached orange belt were we allowed to spar with other students.

also that’s not gonna improve her boxing skills. If anything it’ll harm them. Because she’ll have shitty reaction times and her dodging, slipping, counter attacking, etc all of it will be horrible. She won’t know what to do and won’t be able to react appropriately.

The only way to be a better fighter is to fight and spar. There is no other way.

Punching bags don’t hit back. And if all she wants is a punching bag then she go use her money and buy one.

I know people who do this for a living with pro fighters. They don't just let you punch their face in, but they are some of the best sparring partners in the world. I don't think it is degrading job.

I was looking for a clip of a European female boxer or kick boxer destroying a radio jockey, but I can't find it. So I got this instead.

I've done that for free as a volunteer martial arts instructor, lol!

We get to attack back after a few rounds, tho, lol. But rarely will we make contact - it's usually just quick block-counters.

Depends on the pay and how hard she hits. either way, its still going to be a few thousand a session and thats IF she hits like a typical "girl"... I don't know how whaling on someone for an hour will increase your ability to box, thats why there are punching bags...
if you wanna train with someone, go train. i get the job requirement if you need to destress or maybe do some anger transference but thats not the best way to learn boxing at all.

No, I would not.
Outside of the dojo, if anyone of either sex initiates with me they will receive life changing injuries…as a minimum.
Inside the dojo, when I teach the juniors I have them hit me, because they need to know what it feels like to hit a meat target.
It improves their technique, especially maintaining a straight wrist and arm and striking with the first two knuckles.

Well that might make her better at hitting an unresponsive target, but it won't teach her a damn thing about how to fight, let alone how to box. Would learn a lot more attending legit boxing classes at a fraction of the cost. If you're afraid of getting hit back, stay out the ring!

That is actually an idea I think is great. I can dodge and defend is what you are saying right? So I would also learn defensive skill from a fairly decent fighter. And GET some money instead of paying for the lessons.

If he's a boxing coach he's not taking any of the hits directly. Not that a little girl is going to have to power or skills to really phase a bigger guy anyway. There is a reason why boxing and other fight sports have weight classes.
