there's pretty girls with body dysmorphia or self esteem issues. it's not as hard as you think. some women massively underestimate their value on the dating market. i personally knew someone like this.

Money is temporary. You lose your means of income, you lose your money and your woman.
But if it's personality, which is actually what does attract people to each other, then with good communication and a strong bond you can weather even losing money.
You're obviously going to stay inadequate and lonesome if you refuse to recognize and adapt to reality.

I have generally seen women go for money, status, fame. Few go for intelligence, good character (unless they wanna marry).. I know it's kinda not subtle but that's how it is I guess...
