This might seem like a juvenile question, but has anyone ever cancelled going out with your friends or social events because of your period? If so, how did you go about it? Do you think the pain would have to be really bad for you to consider cancelling?
Absolutely. There's been days I couldn't fucking stand up.
There was a booth at a recent fair that did a period cramp simulation for men to try out what it felt like to have period cramps. No one got past a 7, which is about the normal cramping. Some people even fell out of the chair at 5, lol. Lots of men learned about period pain that day.
It's okay. Sometimes you do need to just take care of yourself. Tell your friends, maybe ask some of the ones you're comfortable around to help you and keep you company or distract you.
I recent caught COVID and my international friends took turns hanging out with me online, watching shows or streaming games for me, just to make sure I didn't feel too lonely.
It depends on how shitty I feel, how good of friends we are, and what the plans were.
If i feel like shit, then I won't be any fun. If I'm not friendly enough to be able to complain about my period to you, then I'm not going. If we are doing something that could exacerbate my symptoms then I'm not going.
a 100% yes! If you have friends who are girls, obviously they know what it's like for you to be in pain and not want to do anything on your period especially if it's bad. If you have friends who are guys, they've been trained in life not to fight you on that one.
Well it wasn't my friends but I did have cancel plans I had with my dad a few years ago because I was having really bad cramps and last week I was supposed to go to a meeting but the day of the meeting I got my period and I was in too much pain to go anywhere
For the first day, sometimes even two, I can't even stand up. I often don't go to work on my first day because how bad the pain is, even after two-three painkillers. So, yeah, cancelled many times.
Nah even tho I have extremely painful periods I just tough through whatever I need to get done.

Backpain, cramps, feeling sore, and just feeling like shit. Just told them i want going anymore because of my period.

i just think about my plans, and then i think about what i would do if i cancelled them. whichever sounds more pleasing at the moment i typically choose. also i just can’t have fun if my cramps are insanely painful atm
