My roommate (W) and I are college friends and we got a third roommate (P). P doesn’t clean up after herself, and one night, there were a lot of dishes in the sink, and W insinuated that it was me who left the mess. After explaining to W that it wasn’t me, she said, “well I just assumed it was you because you cook a lot”
We share everything in the kitchen unless told otherwise. So I was using a cup one day (turned out to be W’s cup) and she said, “I notice you use that cup a lot. Since it’s fragile, can you not use it anymore?”. So I complied, but P still uses that cup and W hasn’t said anything to her.
The energy bill is in my name, and it was a lot more than what is normally is. So I told my roommates that and we talked about ways to use less energy. So, I was drying some hand towels/towels in the dryer, and W saw, and said, “you know, if you keep doing small loads like that, it’ll make the bill go up. Just keep in mind of that”
The issue with that comment is, W does her laundry and her bf’s laundry at our place….. she also turns up the a/c when she’s hot, and turns it down when she’s cold vs getting a blanket/jacket.
