A professor from Bristol University found that approx. 1 in 3 people find comfort in keeping a soft toy in their bedroom. There’s nothing wrong with it. Regardless, I hope you’re doing fine. It's not weird, lots of people do that, but it's better to have a cat for that sort of thing, preferably one thats an attention hog, because inanimate objects aren't real company that can give attention back.
Also you really should try making friends, not because of the stuffed animals, but because everyone needs at least 1 friend.
Me too honestly, I'm better at making friends online because video games are pretty much my only social hobby, and thats done indoors, so most of my friends I met in gaming lobbies, and we hang out daily online.
It's not really a comforting thing per say, and eventually for my own comfort I'll likily need a girlfriend, a cat, and maybe a few other pets, but it is company and we have fun and it's good boredom relief and spurs my creative side and fulfills my urge to practice skills.
I would suggest you start with trying to find people who like what you like, and just start off conversations about the shared interest/hobby, thats the least forced way to make friends, because neither of you have to do anything you wouldn't normally be doing anyway.
I have a whole collection of them, but I wouldn't say I have them to keep me from feeling lonely. It's not really weird, it's understandable. People suck these days and I've kind of just come to terms with the fact that I will never have real, genuine friends. It's fine! <3
No. It is truly a thing to make you feel better as studies show. Soo walking around with a support toy is fine in this day and age. People may think you're the weird one but they are a tad (probably a lot) dumb who don't understand this a thing anyone can do.

You are making it a question of age. According to your profile, you're just out of your teens. You can consider yourself an adult by all measures, but you're not done growing up. To be honest, we're never done growing up. We keep learn changing at any age.
Even if a 30-40-50 year old told me they had plushy toys for companies, I would still think the same: that's cute!
I find nothing wrong with it since i've done the same thing, hell I even have this body pillow I use when no one's around and I cuddle with it and treat it as if it were someone i'm dating. Though, I definitely think you should go out of your comfort zone a little more and try to make friends.
No but you should maybe a pet and a little more human interaction which would make you happy.

It would only be weird if you thought they were talking to you or something!! What you described is the most normal thing in the world, I am older than you and I still have stuffed animals that can comfort me sometimes when I am upset.
I hid all of mine in my closet for a few years because they made me feel like a kid, but I brought them all back out eventually. Stuffed animals are awesome.
It's not weird or bad or wrong. With one exception: if you use the animals as an excuse for regular interactions with other humans, that might be a problem and might be worth discussing with someone.
It's not weird. There are a lot of women who have stuffed animals. My wife is 61 and she still cuddles with a stuffed animal once in a while. If it's comforting to you then why not.
