How do you feel if a guy stares at you?

I've been raised and been around an environment where openly making sexual comments is disgusting and unacceptable. That same norm has also applied to staring at girls for me in that it's fine to look so long as you don't get caught staring.

I've had the idea that we all know I looked but not when in the same way girls probably check me out and sometimes stare at me but I probably don't see it as much because they do the same thing in not getting caught staring.

However in this social experiment, people in the comments were questioning why anyone would even be nervous about admitting he was staring after being questioned. I've never been in that situation but if a girl did ask, I'd take no issue admitting to it because it's not like there's a secret there.

The situation matters and how long it goes on, but generally if somebody is doing what I would call staring at me, I am uncomfortable because it's kind of like they are deliberately violating a social norm and I don't know what other social norms they might violate, in some situations I might wonder if he will be hiding behind the bushes when I leave in other situations I might wonder if he hates me or (for example at work) if he thinks I am goofing off. Smiling helps but still, if he continued to stare it would be weird. JMO!!

I'm an Amazon driver, I see beautiful women everyday. I don't make it a point to ogle anybody but I do check them out. I don't want to be a creep and I don't want to scare them,

I always hope they don't notice but I'm sure they do.

What would your advise be in thay situation, cold approaching somebody who just wants their box and for you to bugger off?

@lucas262 Oh girls know guys check them out that goes both ways and is normal, when I talk about "staring" I mean you get caught and instead of kind of acknowledging it maybe smiling and looking away you just keep staring, that is what I mean about violating social norms. If you check her out and she catches you that is fine she will more likely be flattered. Also the nature of delivering packages, you probably don't linger too long so it should not be scary if you just look at her and smile or something like that or chat a little. JMO!!

My first thought is, is this guy going to try and murder/rape/kidnap/assault/rob me... but if you just mean staring at my chest or legs etc.. then I typically don't really care. In fact, 95% of the time I'd prefer they stare at me as opposed to actually walk over and talk to me. But I'll admit I'm probably in the minority here.

I just find it funny, because usually guys just stare at me but don't have the balls to actually come up to me and talk to me, and I realize its because I look intimidating lol

I'm ok whenever people look at me and I can tell if they're checking me out. I'm perfectly fine with that but don't stare like a lunatic, that will make me feel unsafe and just make me feel awkward.
